incredible game and incredibly underrated
my favorite mentally ill slop
It is a pretty fun game and is what many consider to be "Chess 2", but I will say that its kindof dead. Edit: In 5/5/2026 the game was updated after 5 years of nothing.

I played it for a long time on Kongregate, its a very nice chess-like game
Been playing this for a decade. The community's still alive and thriving on discord, the game's still getting updates and mods, and it hasn't lost its interest. It's hard to build a good army of your own, but it's easy to copy other players' armies provided you have the pieces. The game balance is based on a point-buy system where you can't exceed a point total, and strong pieces cost more points to add to an army than weaker ones. There's some rock-paper-scissors interactions where one piece can't attack another, which people call nuance. Nuance forces you to build around certain piece types some to cover weaknesses, but there's enough options so that you can still set up your own piece combos to launch creative attacks for control or to deliver checkmate.
So many different pieces and different ways to play the game of chess. Highly recommend.
Pay to Win. the Developer abandoned the game and is a crypto pedantic ♥♥♥♥♥♥, the Daily Challenge system will ♥♥♥♥ out a undoable challenge every few weeks or so and the reward system in of itself is downright psychopathic where your reward is delayed untill the next day meaning you have to log in or lose the reward, wich can lead to you forgetting and losing the reward anyways effectively making you waste time for nothing
Chess Evolved Online is one of my all time favorite games. Its Chess but you can cast fireball, hatch a phoenix, use a wizard to teleport the enemy king right in front of your army, and plant trees to increase morale. On the units collection aspect of the game its very easy to get all the units in the game, although upgrading the higher level ones can be a tiny bit of a grind (Looking at you Greed) its very easy to build up resources and you can purchase units directly from the store to avoid any randomness.
chess 2.0 in all its glory
nice
