This game was very interesting, sometimes fascinating. I say that because what stood out the most at first was how very many incredibly talented painters in the 17 and 18 hundreds were women, and the really astoundingly beautiful artwork overall. The texts, the books were also fascinating, and I want to go back and read more in detail, but running around the house, trying to figure out how the doors worked, made me feel like I really was trapped and trying to figure out how to get out, as though I could imagine how that must have felt. The condescending behaviour of those around me really illustrated how difficult it had to have been to have any say over one's life in those circumstances. Really well done, and there were some definite creepy moments! I finished it but I know there I areas I missed. I'll go back in to figure it out. Thanks for a great game.

The most depressing game I have played in a very long time.

A must-play if you are a fan of classical art seen through a woman's perspective. The Yellow Wallpaper, the inspiration piece that spawned this game, is a great accompaniment to this game. It does help to have read or be familiar with this work.
A game inspired by the Yellow Wallpaper; a short story written by Charlotte Perkins about a woman who is made to rest as a cure for hysteria. There is a great deal of material to read within the game that I found quite daunting. After searching through 3 rooms, I couldn't get myself to read the rest. The game was short and simple. The art is beautiful and the texts are interesting reads. I recommend it since it's a free game and can be done in less than 3 hours, maybe more if you read everything. The game feels a bit wonky, it reminds me of the old early 2000s games. I enjoyed it but I don't think it truly captured the essence of TYW.

While I am absolutely interested in the topics and information provided by this experience, the "game" itself is so technically uncomfortable to use that it made me want to get out almost immediately. The sound and visuals are so laughably bad that I'd rather just go on Wikipedia.
I am not sure what to say other than after 30 minutes... I uninstalled.
