Very important game to play, but you should read the short story it's based on. I couldn't figure out what to do in the game, but there's a wealth of educational materials that were really cool to read and see just how things still mirror how bad it is for women these days. Not even 200 years on.

What is this even? I mean I am so confused that I don't even know what the point of the game was... I have to admit that this is on my top ten of worst games I ever sat through.
Very female-forward. Very educational. Interesting concept. Ok design. I wish the character moved faster
There is a puzzle in the game, but the game isn't about solving it. This is basically a well-designed museum piece about the stifled brilliance of Charlotte Perkins Gilman and her contemporaries. Read every postcard and book, and look at every painting to get the full effect. If you haven't read "The Yellow Wallpaper" you might want to find a copy before taking this on, otherwise it might be a rather confusing exploration of suffrage, oppression, and madness. If you have read it, as I did, this little treat is well worth the time.
I wouldn't call this a horror puzzle. It is mostly a walking sim with one type of puzzle. that is to open doors in order to progress. It isn't difficult. The people who will most enjoy this game are those who like to explore. There is a lot of reading in this game and every art piece has a description explaining the artist and what they were trying to achieve in their work. If you don't read everything you will miss the whole point. It is the joy of discovery. I have read The Yellow Wallpaper so I could appreciate what was happening, but if you haven't read it, this game may encourage you to read the short story, which is so old that it is open source. I really enjoyed this game and relished all of the details in it. On top of that, it was free! Cudos to the creators of this game.
