As a long time fan of the Chaos Faction duology, I'm happy I bought this, but i'd definitely not recommend it to anybody else. This game is essentially just a steam port of Chaos Faction 1 and Chaos Faction 2 with minimal changes, which is cool, however my issue with it is that the parts that were changed make the game just a little bit less enjoyable. [b] Changes I do like... [/b] - 3 unlockable characters in Chaos Faction 2 were replaced due to copyright issues, meaning there are 3 brand new characters who are just as creative and interesting as the ones they replaced. I really appreciate the effort put into fixing this. [b] Complaints I had... [/b] - Some of the levels in the flash version of Chaos Faction 2 had specific win conditions that have now (almost) all been replaced with a very standard stock system. In a game that already doesn't have a ton of variation, this greatly hurts the replayability, as well as the difficulty. - There isn't actually any more to do in these game than their original versions? Which I'd be fine with if the game didn't have a cost attached to it, especially when you can still play the originals on Newgrounds... It'd be cool to see some new achievements, or levels, or weapons, or characters, that aren't just copyright workarounds. - The survival leaderboard in CF2 doesn't exist anymore - You can't switch between CF1 and CF2 without closing the application entirely? Overall, I think it's cool that they "remastered" (I say this very loosely because again, there are virtually no changes) these classic flash games, I just think this collection is kind of lazy, and probably not worth the price. I'm happy to support Eon and Dissolute Productions, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit disappointed.

Really barebones port of the flash games which you can get for free. You can't switch between games unless you close and open the game again, Steam overlay still doesn't work so you won't be playing this online with anyone through that, the old Survival leaderboard in CF2 was completely scrapped so you can't directly check your scores against others in-game like you used to back in the day when the site for it still worked. Another thing is that some unlockable CF2 characters were changed but that's probably copyright-related so that's understandable, not really a complaint. One minor complaint I do have is that sometimes, while playing a custom level, the game didn't load anything and spawned everyone right in the void, ending the match instantly while the characters in the results seemed to be nameless and the portraits scrolled through every character in the game rapidly, it's a pretty harmless bug but it's annoying and I don't remember ever seeing that in the original. You can 100% both games in a single hour give or take but if you know this game at all you probably were aware already. It's not really worth the 5 bucks, at least to me, so unless you really want to support EON you should just save your money, get the old flashes and enjoy the games that way.

Same frenetic gameplay: absurd weapons, maps that try to kill you, and fights where you don't have a second to rest. Character customization is just as fun as it was back then. It's the perfect homage to an era that defined the brawler genre. Where Chaos Faction 3 Hypergon revenge
I get that this is labeled a "legacy collection," but if you played these back in 2010, absolutely nothing has changed. They literally just patched the two games together without adding online support, graphics upgrades, or new levels. Save your 5€ unless you're purely here for the nostalgia.
