CELL is a short non-linear visual novel in a post-apocalypse/cyberpunk setting. Kenzo is an artificially grown human who lived his entire life alone isolated with a sweet, but artificial service intelligence. He's not okay. Help him to go through the disturbing situation he's about to get into.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
CELL 0 is a prologue to CELL visual novel series. Humans are fragile.
The humanity was destroyed by a quantum artificial intelligence - Omniscient, a global service program, the peak of technological advancement. The extinction occurred within a single day. No records remain of the events, as no survivors exist to recall them.
Kenzo’s existence is a result of improbable circumstances. Artificially grown after the collapse, he was raised by Acine, an assistant AI, deep underground in a place called CELL. Originally designed as a secure residential complex for former global powers, CELL was left incomplete and operates at minimal functionality. Kenzo knows nothing of his purpose; the truth is locked behind layers of inaccessible data. His only contact was Acine and social simulations - poor substitutes for real life. While outwardly functional, his mental state is fragile. The prospect of encountering another living being lingers in his thoughts, but is he ready for what is to come? Why was he created? What led to the collapse, and does it retain any significance? What does existence mean in a world governed by non-user-centric systems?
FYI: Some of the game's dialogues use technical terminology and references that may not be self-explanatory to some players.

Be cautious with them. In a post-transhuman world where it’s impossible to distinguish simulation from reality, everything and everyone may not be what they seem.

Acine - your friendly AI assistant. The Service Intelligence System (SIS), developed by Riten Consulting Group in Tokyo, Japan, was designed to oversee the well-being of CELL inhabitants. However, it was still in its early development stages. Its most stable builds were deployed as tools for CELL construction crews, but none were approved for public use, consistently failing critical communication security protocols.

Enaid - striking in appearance yet strangely out of sync with herself. Her behavior clashes with her looks, marked by visible stress and an inability to articulate her disjointed perceptions. She often seems tired, lost in a fog of exhaustion and confusion. Conversations with her are difficult, as she tends to speak in a complicated and sometimes incoherent manner.

Lav - cheerful and talkative, her demeanor feels almost too stable, bordering on suspicious. Beneath her approachable and open-minded surface lie extremes that emerge without warning - sharp, uncompromising traits that unsettle as they unfold. What seems harmless at first glance quickly becomes harder to ignore.

Hirai - observant to an unsettling degree. While her attention to detail can be comforting, it often works almost like x-rays, making interactions a little uncomfortable. Her emotions are subtle, barely detectable, and rarely visible. What she feels must be deciphered from what she says rather than what she shows, leaving one close to her, and her far from everyone.

pretty interesting, can't wait to see where this goes.
Only got one ending so far but I loved every second of it. Could've used a bit more proof-reading but other than that it's amazing and considering how short it is, it managed to make me get quite attached to the characters. Would absolutely recommend! Finished all the endings now, 01 (the first one I got) is easily the best imo even if it's technically a bad ending.
CELL is a short (about 3hrs), somewhat philosophical, post-apocalyptic visual novel. It was pretty good! - With the time they had, it didn't get too complicated, but still offered interesting topics. The store page says this is also a prologue for another CELL game that'll come out sometime, so they might go more in depth there. - The character sprites are really nice and crisp. It's a shame we only get to see a few at full resolution. But gives me high hopes for the full game release. (I love Acine's design/sprites!) - Some of the music was more passive, but some of the songs were bangers. I really liked the main menu theme and the credits song! My only two small critiques: - The English was mostly fine, but had a few points where I had to double back like, "Oh that's what they're trying to say." - It'd be nice if for the rewind feature we could scroll up and see several lines of text like many vns do, rather than clicking back one line at a time. Excited to see what other CELL releases we get in the future!
This room does not exist. This room does not exist. This room does not exist. ...It does.

CELL 0: Cyber Entertainment Leisure Lounge
Sweets always makes it better. Around two hours of actual playtime, CELL 0 is a fun little visual novel... with a few issues. Grammatically odd in places even post-update, it didn't detract from the experience as much as it would have if it didn't have generally spectacular presentation. Then comes the story, a prologue following the least mentally unwell protagonist, the horror elements mostly comes from the implications of a transhumanist post-apocalypse where the last few humans are grown in vitro and aren't put through some show put on by the most hateful AI that isn't called Him by virtue of human ingenuity and twenty-five meter fleshmecha.

In other words, the story takes a backburner but the world of CELL 0 is fantastic and thankfully they make sure to show you some lore as is relevant by putting it into the escape menu. Which is odd but I didn't have much trouble getting most of the lore. Aside from the worldbuilding, the story of CELL 0 is deeply compassionate by showing a total lack of it on one end and the desperate measure that spawns from isolation. You will read this for the worldbuilding and the philosophy of coping with living in a world where there is no purpose.

Music was fun (breakcore survives the apocalypse), story was thoughtful and wasn't so cheap, worldbuilding makes me crave more CELL and of course, like most indie visual novels and their presupposed sequels:

Be a believer. It's worth it.
Muy buen juego. Espero ver mas de esta entrega a futuro. (La canción de los créditos es muy buena)
A prologue VN. About 3 hours to complete. Bittersweet with a depressive atmosphere. A bit of grammatical errors in English but didn't take away from the overall narrative. There is one music track that has constant knocking (like someone banging on a door) though, which I found a bit grating. Very nice experience. Looking forward to the sequel.
A short but enjoyable sci-fi visual novel.
cool game but not enough reference to Rayan Gosling
"i can pretend i have a personality, but i don't have one" ❤️❤️🖤🖤🖤 ✅ presentation, interesting themes and story writing ⚠️ while it does have satisfying conclusive endings, it's also like a prologue ⛔ some poor anime writing vibes: cabin fever loop: psych existence horror visual novel with some choices and endings thoughts: i want to like this, and i do like quite a bit of it, and just really don't other parts of it. the presentation is nice, nice music, i like the world building and the themes and ideas its going for i really like. but the writing is just kind of... not there. · it tries to start this as a story where the main character was born and raised alone by an ai, we're told this is what happened. (one of the only nice touches around this i liked was background art showing childish drawings). but frankly nothing of the writing, the relationship, interactions, or how he behaves and thinks really reads like this is true, but rather more like some random teenager who's been in isolation for some years. this is like one of the core elements of the story and it just does not come off as believable. · there's also, very what i can only describe as "animeisms" in it, some of it which fits its clearly trying subvert or play with or turn around. but some of it is just out of place. like what is with the nose bleed stuff and gags/tropes like that, it's just... such weird writing. it really doesn't fit the genre or tone of the story at all. why is it here? · that isn't to say the writing as a whole is bad. it falters, even technically with awkward sentences and grammar, but it has some neat moments, there are interactions and world building and conversations i genuinely liked, i quite liked some of the stuff involved in some of the endings. the production quality is nice, the music is good, the ideas it presents are nice. verdict: i liked it in the end, though i guess what really saved it for me was one of the bad endings. i'm interested in seeing where it potentially goes.
