I was gifted this game by the dev after we play-tested it as co-workers. Another made the chiptune OST and they both deserve praise for the work. CD-Run is a side scrolling race against your friends and the obstacles the stage throws at you, with multiple mode changes as it goes on. Fast Forward, Repeat, Pause etc.. all shuffle to mix up what's happening and make you pay attention all the time. When you add in other players all trying to survive as well, it's total chaos, and some of the best laughs I've had with my friends were because of this game. So, this game has everything you want in a pick-up co-op game. Customized avatars, rng stages and multiple modes. Everything is fast, the longest round I've ever had was still less than 3 minutes. If you need something new to play, if you're tired of never being the impostor, if you're tired of losing in Smash Bro/Mario Kart etc... you can race/kill your friends here! As an added bonus, the dev is very active on the game's twitter page and would love to see clips and screenshots of people having fun! CD-Run
Excellent game for family gatherings during the holidays! It was super easy to set up multiple controllers (we had 4 different types), customize characters and start playing in minutes. Didn't take long for everyone to catch on how to play, followed by much laughter, shouting and groans. Addictive and perfect for all ages to join in the fun. Warning, the theme music is an earworm. ;)

Played this game at Emerald City Comic Con with my two buddies and we had a blast playing. The customization for characters is great special for someone who is color blind. It even has a colorblind mode that I think is very thoughtful for colorblind gamers. Also, the randomness is great you don't know what is going to happen next so its different everytime. I love this game. Highly recommend for a fun party game!
Great co-op game for groups! You can get into some intense battles with friends and the sudden twists keeps each race unique and exciting. Definitely worth the asking price!
I definitely enjoy having more games that I can play with a group of friends. This is a fun and challenging game anyone would understand. One thing that I think would be fun to have in the future, is having additional features like multiple lives, or maybe even a coin collect that can give you "extra" lives. But overall, I definitely enjoyed this game. Would recommend for people looking for group games you can play online together!
The store page says it has full controller support, but in reality the game does not allow the use of controllers.
If you're looking for a quick, no-brainer game to play with friends, this is a great pick-me-up with no real instructions needed. It's a 2D side scroller where you race to be the last player to remain on the field. Whether inebriated or not, this will be competitive and hilarious for all.
This is a fantastic game! Adults and kids love it, you can play up to 8 players so it is great for parties. Everytime my nieces come to visit they want to play this game! Great music, and clever surprises make this game super enjoyable.
I usually play big RPGs and FPS games here but was in the mood for a game I could just pick up and play with friends that was similar to other "competitive party type games" I've played with friends before. This game is totally what I was looking for! I've tried out a bunch a games but this one is hands down the most polished of indie titles of this type - game sprites and screens look super clean, controls are responsive (I use a Fus1on Controller by PowerA), and the music is super catchy. It's not overly complex so ANYONE in your friends list can pick up and play, and things get pretty loud and competitive when the matches start! I'm definitely going to get more of my friends playing because I think you can get 8 people in one match - the most I had was 4 so far. For gameplay, I like how there is A LOT of level variation - the obstacles seem to be procedurally-generated so no one can really get used to a specific pattern and have an advantage. The levels get crazy haha - the direction the game scrolls (left or right), speed of scrolling (super fast to slow mo), and even gravity changes (play on the ground or from the ceiling). So basically, the object of the game is to be the last one to survive the ****ing level and it gets brutal at times! You can hop on other players' "heads" to get to a platform or just sit there and time your jump just right to let the level consume them. That's the gist of it - I recommend this game for sure. I wanted to start support more indie projects this year and this one turned out to be a ton of fun. If they port this to the Nintendo Switch soon, then I'll be able to get big groups to play at work on our big screen!
We played this game for Extra Life 2019 after the developer was awesome enough to donate a copy to our team. We'd planned on playing it for about an hour, but after 20 minutes we found ourselves trying to dig up extra controllers because more than four people wanted to play. We ended up playing it for three hours and pushing other games off of our schedule because we didn't want to stop playing because we were having so much fun. It's an absolutely terrific game for big groups of people but is also a ton of fun solo or with a small group. Add in a couple of CPU players and let the chaos begin!
