Either fix your game or remove it from the store, it's not complicated. You're selling a non-functioning product through the loophole of in-game non-refundable transactions. Do. Not. Buy.
800+ hours logged onto Catan, so clearly I enjoy the game itself. However, the current iteration on Steam is so buggy, it is nearly unplayable. Server often gets stuck mid-game, requiring players to quit and rejoin, and in many cases this does not work and ELO points (and rankings) are lost. I have lost too many ELO points when in a winning position because of server issues. This issue has been going on for years and has only become worse; developers are either unable or unwilling to fix. Do not buy.

_____________8__88_____8 ____________88_8__8_____8 ___________888_____88___88888 __________8888______88_8____88 _________8888_______88______8_8 _________8888_______88______8_8 _________8888_______8_______8 _________8888_____8_______8 __________88888____8______8 ___________8888888______8 __888_________88888_8 8888888________88_____ _8888888_______8_____ __888888_______88_____ ___88_____8_____8_____ ____8______8____8_____8_88 _______8888_8__88_8_88888 _____888888_8_88__8888888 ____8888888__88______88888 ____88888_____8_________888 ____88_________8__________8 _____8_________8_____ _______________8_____ ____________8_8_____ _____________88_8_____ ______________88_____ ______________8_____
This is more of a Neutral review, hurry up and add that feature steam. The game is great, user friendly, do not let the micro transactions fool you, they are very reasonable one time purchases, however they are bugged on steam so you gotta sign in on a phone to buy them. Looks lovely, The games are fun. From a down to earth opinion and ignoring some of the jumped up neg reviews from die hards, il lay it on you honestly. If you pay 0, you get 1 solo game a day against bots. This is not fun. However you can play Free match in a 3 player game as much as you like. This is good. The bots are horrid. They are either too easy or too hard and have alot of bugs, sometimes a infinite trade bug which means you gotta alt f4. Disconnects are fairly frequent. Take that with a pinch of salt. Some days i got a few, some days i got 0 at all. But be prepared for it. Other then that, its a pretty decent experience for catan fans. Main take away from this would be 3 things. 1 - Try to not play solo games with bots. Bots are buggy as hell 2 - The servers disconnect sometimes here or there. Not as bad as people make it out to be, but they are there. Be prepared for that 3 - If you want to buy the base game or anything at all really, do it by signing into a phone or tablet and do it that way. You account can jump between all devices so this is really simple to do. The steam store is bugged for this game. Other then that, try to ignore a couple of the over the top neg reviews. Make your own opinion. Try out free play first and judge on that :)
Feels like Benjamin Netanyaou and some jews made this game
This is a decent iteration of the board game if you're wanting to casually play it. I have had times both in solo play and against friends where the game had bugged out and a trade couldn't be finished or a player got disconnected, so the steam version of this game does have flaws. One suggestion I have for the devs is to allow the players to see how many points they are from reaching the next level/level reward again. I'm not sure why that was removed in some recent update within the past 2-4 months, but it makes it difficult to gauge how far I have to go til I can get my next level reward. It's now all a mystery to me.
I couldn’t figure out how to start a solo offline game. As far as I understand, you need to activate the “sun” to play solo, but nothing happens. And the fact that you can do this once every 12 hours is questionable. So you’re telling me I can play offline solo once every 12 hours? What a joke. The only thing I managed to complete was the tutorial, and it’s pretty bad in teaching the game rules. As someone who has never played this boardgame before, I had to look up the actual rules just to understand how to play. Meanwhile, the in‑game shop works without any issues. Shows exactly where the developers’ priorities are. A typical trashy mobile game. Don’t waste your time.
You only get one free play per day :(
