Have you ever wanted to experience hell in real life? Look no further! Cat Adventure 2 is one of the most painful experiences I have ever endured. This claims to be complex and difficult, but in reality, it's unfinished and unfair. The game instantly starts to abort your sanity by playing overused stock music. Just the best for narrow platforming. Too bad the controls suck. If you jump while moving, the momentum will carry over, EVEN IF YOU STOP MOVING. This make careful movement incredibly difficult, and shows the lazy game design. But wait, there's more! In the game, there are platforms that switch from normal to instadeath. Sounds like a good element of challenge. Only if they hadn't IMMEDIATELY SWITCHED WITHOUT WARNING. Basically, if you are in the middle of the jump, and the platforms switch, you need to react extremely quickly or else you are screwed. But the most annoying part is that THERE IS NO SAVE SYSTEM IN THIS DAMN GAME. Want to return to the latest level later because you are frustrated? Sorry, you have to play the whole game in one siting. But the big kicker is that THERE IS ONLY 6 LEVELS IN THIS WHOLE GAME. So, if the controls don't drive you to murder the developers, you are looking at 20 minutes. What a waste of time. Just don't bother, there are better (even free) games on Steam that don't make you want to question your love of video games. The only nice thing I can say is I got this for basically free on a random key set I bought online, but even then, I still feel scammed.

Cat Adventure 2 is an Unreal Engine from the serial offending asset flippers at Quarlellle, taking store assets, dumping them in a blender to make minimum viable products that are then dumped onto Steam and into cheap game bundles as a cash grab. This one has a low poly 3D cat running through very basic platformer levels... so bad, in fact, Quarlellle didn't even bother stealing textures for the low poly platform assets. What a joke. This is terrible even for an asset flip. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. Bewilderingly, the game doesn't include proper audio controls, so you can't turn off the annoying background music, you'll need to alt+tab out and stop the music using the Windows sound mixer. This is obviously not okay and it's unclear why the developers chose not to include this basic feature. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
