I love short, unique games and I love variety, so this one here hits the spot for me. Have only tried a few of the games within the collection, but really enjoyed them so far. Definitely looking forward to playing through all of them! (and might update my review with my favorites later on)
I haven't played all the games but this is already a great experience. It's a really unique experience ! Congrats to all the devs for this anthology !!
I backed this game on Kickstarter and really enjoyed it! Getting a 3 card spread was just the right amount of time to enjoy each of the experiences in one sitting. I loved the creativity that each of the games provided, and I could get a different experience from game to game. Each of their interpretations of the card was really interesting, and I can't wait to get to the other games in the collection!
very varied anthology from a ton of really interesting indie creators. definitely worth the price and fun to explore. i was a kickstarter backer and feel satisfied with how it came out!
The anthology is 21 different games done by various indie game developers, all dealing with specific themes or nuances found in the major arcana of tarot. You can "draw" one or three "cards", which readies one or a series of short games for you to play. Keep in mind that the games themselves are their own programs, the anthology and tarot theme acts as a launcher, pulling a game to the forefront for you to interact with and explore. Some of the games are extremely sweet (like a fishing mini game as a jack-o-lantern scare crow) and some cover themes of death, body horror, harm, and more. Each time you pull a card, the game allows you to "skip" playing it, if it isn't something you are personally able to handle playing (emotionally or mentally) at the time, and places it in your deck for referencing later. I sincerely recommend this game, for the various art styles, the stories being told, and the beautiful set up. Thank you for sharing this with us.
