About
You will compete against Andrew the Automata in this solo-only version of the game, which does not offer an online mode.
The game features the original graphics from the board game, with the objective of helping you learn the rules and enhance your skills.
This game is inspired by the life of Andrew Carnegie, who was born in Scotland in 1835 and emigrated to the United States with his parents in 1848. Although Carnegie started his career as a telegraph operator, his role as a major player in the rise of the United States’ steel industry made him one of the richest men in the world and an icon of the American dream.
Carnegie was also a benefactor and philanthropist. Upon his death in 1919, more than $350 million of his wealth was bequeathed to various foundations, with another $30 million going to various charities. His endowments created nearly 2,500 free public libraries that bear his name to this day: the Carnegie libraries.
In Carnegie, players will recruit employees and expand their businesses by investing in real estate, producing goods, developing transport technology, and creating transport chains across the United States.
Perhaps they will even become illustrious benefactors who contribute to the country’s greatness through their deeds and generosity! The game takes place over 20 rounds, with players each having one turn per round. In each round the active player will choose one of four actions, which the other players will follow.
The success of a player’s Company is represented by their victory points (VP), and the player with the most VP at the end of the game will be declared the winner, known forevermore for their philanthropic works.
In this App version of the board game you will play vs. Andrew, the solo automata, with Four different level of difficulty.
The App includes a short tutorial which explain the basic concepts of the game to help the player dive in immediately, and a full set of written rules.
Game Overview

3. Use Departments

4. Activate Employees & End of Round
Players may activate employees, and finally the action marker moves one space to the right on the Timeline.

I am a huge fan of the board game, a great thinking/resource and planning brain tease of a game. I have Had loads of great Solo game play throughs as well. New people to the game might find it a bit of a steep learning curve, but worth the slog. BUGS - in the Exchange resource cube for Money ability, could not stop the exchange or confirm the deal . Cant lay more than one department down in a round , kept overriding previous choice. Still enjoy the digital version as much as the cardboard version. its slightly tricky navigating the different screens of choices and having to swap back and forwards , but it is a large board game with plenty going on, so expect that. Good game and love the Ian O`Toole artwork style.
the UI is terrible, it's so silly I have to switch between different boards by clicking I would play on BGA, way way way better!
The artwork stays true to the board game—100 points for that—but the interface is awful, just really bad. If they fix it or improve on it, this would be a highly recommended game. As it is right now, it's lacking a lot; I hope to see some improvements.
Pros: carnegie is in the top 5 strategic boardgames ever digital version allows you to play solo much faster than with the boardgame allows you to play the game so you can test and decide if it is worth to buy a physical copy Cons: The IA have bugs that benefict it and that wouldnt be a problem if not for the second negative, this game doesnt have a save option Difficulty is insane No multiplayer option
Unfortunately, this version is full of bugs, and the UI is a mess. :( I love the game, but the overall gameplay experience is seriously affected by these issues.
Can't set player count or colour, asks for your decision but doesn't present the appropriate section, annoying to switch between sections, no multiplayer. It's the core gameplay we all know and love but the UI is awful. Don't bother with this.
