About
Dive into the everyday world of an 11-year-old girl, Evi, and navigate a world that often feels too loud, too fast, and hard to understand.
Canvas of Thoughts is a cozy story-driven point-and-click adventure that invites players to explore familiar places: a classroom, a playground, a shopping mall, family gatherings, and a doctor’s office, through a neurodivergent perspective. Each location forms a self-contained chapter with its own emotional tone, visual palette, and interactive challenges.
Story-driven, point-and-click adventure game featuring classic exploration, item collection and object combination in familiar, everyday environments.
Emotion-based gameplay allows player choices to influence both the protagonist’s inner state and how the world responds, translating emotional experiences into interactive mechanics.
Educational insight through play, illustrating how sensory input, social situations and routines can feel either overwhelming or calming, depending on the context.
Environmental puzzles and mini-games focus on logic, patterns, observation and self-regulation rather than speed or failure.
Hand-crafted 2D watercolour art and atmospheric sound design support immersion, emotional storytelling and reflective gameplay.

You explore hand-drawn scenes, click on environmental details, collect everyday objects, and combine items to solve puzzles and progress the story. Small interactions like arranging objects, creating patterns, focusing on sounds, or using familiar items, become meaningful tools to move forward.
The narrative progresses through emotion-based choices rather than traditional dialogue trees. Instead of selecting exact words, players choose how to respond emotionally, influencing conversations, puzzles, and how environments react. Every response is valid, shaping a different path through each chapter.

With its hand-drawn watercolor art style, atmospheric sound design, and focus on everyday moments, Canvas of Thoughts blends traditional point-and-click adventure design with a cozy personal narrative experience that unfolds through interaction, exploration, and reflection rather than challenge or combat.

Whether you want to have a casual experience, or just rush through, the game gives you the choice to play the game at your own pace: Wanna speedrun it? Go for it. Wanna chill in Evi's bedroom for 2hrs, because you forgot to continue playing after taking 12 IRL sidequests? The game's got you. Even though bugs are still present, I definitely rate Canvas of Thoughts a solid 8/10, and recommend it to everyone who wants a beautiful and fun experience, a thoughtful game about neurodivergent struggles and accommodations, including links to informational resources, or both!
After being on a drystreak for single player games in general I was looking for something completely new but also close to heart. So my choice fell on this indie puzzle game. It turned out to be a game about autism, but unlike in tv it actually did not try to overdo it. It gave actual explanation which were easy to follow the gameplay finally challenging again for a puzzle game this cutesy looking. It actually took me some time to figure out some puzzles which doesn't happen that often anymore. The game is a fresh wind in a sea of games where you feel like drowning, the game doesn't tell you to slow down, it makes you want to. Every character interaction shows you a new side of the character, it even gives you an actual connection with characters you've interacted before. Even though they don't feel like 'normal' topics they still make you feel curious about what happens next. This is the game I would give to people when they ask me: How does autism effect everyday life? This is the game I will gladly spend the time going through every single bit of dialogue just to know more of Evis world. Please take the time and try to feel into this game, it's not meant to be rushed through, it's meant to be savoured and enjoyed.

Die NPCs behandeln mich freundlicher als manche Menschen im echten Leben. Spiel ist aber toll. 10/10

Insightful game with cute graphics. Cat is a win.
Canvas of Thought is a nice game about learning how people who have autism feel and deal with their surroundings. The artsyle is very cute and the characterdesigns stand on their own. Sadly there are many visual and auditory bugs. Hope it will be fixed soon. Nontheless this game is promising.
Cooles Spiel, sehr lehrreich.
An interesting insight into the daily life of kids struggling with autism.
