After spending several hundred hours with the game, I can confidently say that Gates of Hell: Ostfront is a really solid and enjoyable game. The graphics are good enough for this type of game and fit the gameplay well. The campaigns could be much more extensive, especially compared to games like Faces of War or the first Men of War. Some of the campaign missions feel repetitive, and the worst ones are those focused mainly on capturing flags. It feels like an easy way to design a mission without having to create a more interesting scenario or objective. I also suspect that the limited campaign content is partly intended to encourage players to buy DLC, which I consider a rather weak cash grab. The same goes for adding smaller nations behind paid DLC, such as Finland and now Poland. Multiplayer is demanding and not very friendly to new players. You need to manage your units very quickly, and tactics that work in single-player often don't work at all in multiplayer. Another common problem is the delay between giving an order and the unit actually responding, sometimes caused by just one player's poor connection. This can make the game extremely frustrating, especially in situations where quick reactions are important. The developers should also work on the servers and overall multiplayer connection stability, as problems with ping and connectivity are still quite common. Overall, I'd give the game a strong 7.5–8/10. It has its flaws, but after several hundred hours, I still think it's a very good game.
i love this game
The Sd.Kfz. 234 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 234, Special Purpose Vehicle 234), was a family of armoured cars designed and built in Germany during World War II. The vehicles were lightly armoured, armed with a 20, 50 or 75 mm main gun, and powered by a Tatra V12 diesel engine.[3] The Sd.Kfz. 234 broadly resembles the appearance of Sd.Kfz. 231 (8 rad).[2]
