Great game

every combat in multiplayer comes to an intense micromanagement job throwing and running from suiciding grenade throwers, who will perfectly cook and throw grenades with 100% accuracy while taking up to 4 rifle shots to the body. Very tiring after the 10th grenade per combat. This is mostly down to small arms being extremely ineffective and inaccurate compared to AP / AT grenades, with grenades doing more damage than HE shells from tanks. Many players will use autohotkey scripts to do these cooked grenades in 1 button press, making combat a certain loss in anything but the most advantageous positions. The game is totally unplayable in multiplayer because of the direct control features with grenades. It ends up having half the enemy force just dispersed in holes or behind fences, all on do not fire. They are used as mines essentially that cost 10mp and can be bought individually. Your elite units will be wiped by players who throw out 3-4 grenades from a single guy, all precooked, out of a bush before dying. In reality, men are not robots who will be living landmines with guarenteed death just for a trade up. This is also an even more viable strategy, as men prone in these holes and bushes act as spotters for anti tank guns. This form of gameplay is genuinely totally jarring and unfun, and has persisted in all these games, there is a reason the multiplayer is totally dead and this is used as a singleplayer or vs AI game. If you want a fun ww2 RTS without the completely pointless micro, or the cheesy grenades, just play Company of heroes 2.
