Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.43/day in the week to Sep 3 → 8.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Great campaign to finish of one of the best trilogies out there. Very emotional and gave me huge nostalgia playing all 3 of them again.
Put their older games on a massive sale right after quietly killing multiplayer mode in order to 'fix' their RCE malware exploits. They couldn't be bothered to actually secure their servers, so they just turned them off. Only the campaign works now. Don't fall for the sale.
Eng: The perfect conclusion to the much‑hyped trilogy. The Activigions shone only thanks to this trio. It fully satisfied all my nostalgic cravings: there’s a fully completed arc with Makarov, an uplifting sound design, action that was appropriate for those times, and familiar characters you fought alongside throughout the entire campaign. Difficulty: let’s linger a bit longer here, because I’ve already left enough stink on the “Special Ops” tab. And why is that? First — Special Ops. Not only are the DLCs themselves overpriced, and there was no desire to buy them for a price that exceeded the game itself, but the developers were also stingy and simply offered meager discounts during the summer sale, and as far as I remember, there were no discounts at all on the DLCs. The special operations themselves weren’t particularly difficult, except for 3 missions. In the first one, you had to deliver the tank to the evacuation point completely intact and unharmed (without a single damage), and that turned out to be quite difficult even on the easiest difficulty level; I burned out pretty badly back then, spending a little over 1 hour on it. The second one involved rescuing all the hostages, no matter what difficulty level, but if you don’t manage to save everyone, you have to start over. The mission is structured in such a way that you need to do everything as quickly as possible, and the main thing is not to miss. There are no problems with the latter, but with the former, I had to learn all the terrorist spawn locations and kill them faster than planned. 3rd mission is a piece of cake; the activists don’t know how to implement their achievements, so while I was figuring out exactly how to use the packages in the mission, a friend came to help — he wanted to assist me with network operations; otherwise, I would have been stuck on this mission for a long time. Secondly — Survival. This is absolutely hilarious! The main goal is to make it through all the non‑DLC maps up to and including wave 15 (or maybe just beat wave 14 — I’m not entirely sure). You can still survive on the starting survival maps without leveling up, but things really start to get tough on medium difficulty. It’s not enough just to deal with the juggernauts — other problems pop up in addition to them, like birds, for example. And if you don’t have any leveling up, there’s absolutely nothing you can do on those survival maps — you just have to hope for the best, or exploit bugs, which I never did. 6/10 Bottom line: ANYTHING, BUT NOT FOR PLATINUM. The DLCs are too overpriced and just not worth it, except maybe for platinum. If you still decide to go for platinum, it’s better to prioritize all the special operations first, and then venture into the survival modes — otherwise, it’ll be pain and suffering. Overall, it’s a worthy game to play. 9/10 (minus a point for the overpricing of all the DLCs and the game as a whole)
amazing game, great story, and just beautiful. great replay after 10 years! online isnt safe!
Well, dang...this kinda clinches it for me... Just like with the OG CoD Mod 1 and 2, I didn't LOVE CoD Mod 3 when it came out, but I found it to be fun enough, periodically doing the campaign on my own while playing the multiplayer with my friends. I wouldn't have kept coming back if I didn't like it, one way or another, but I'm left wondering what it was I even liked... Between the story that sees you unironically board a Russian sub to push the "destroy own fleet" button then immediately have the Ruskies pull out of an abortive invasion of the ENTIRE U.S. eastern seaboard only to then promptly invade India and ALL of Europe...just all of it...what is happening!? The campaign "gameplay" that sees you get handheld through basic objectives even though you're a tier 1 specforce operator just to be all "Phwaa" techwank as it shows off some doohickey or doodad that the devs saw in a military hardware article and said "gotta have THAT in our game." After all of this...was CoD...EVER good? That's hyperbolic on the surface, I know and appreciate that, believe me, but it's a question I find myself facing, nonetheless. What. Did. I. Like? The campaign is the same, as far as I can tell, and I was never the biggest, sweatiest tryhard in the MP lobbies, so I really think it was just the friends I played it with that ever made me like CoD. I don't know if you can appreciate how strange a realization that even is for me, but regardless, I can't recommend this. Oh, sure. 2011 game, who'd be interested? Yet, this was, once, event gaming. The hype around original Modern Warfare and its sequels was literally huge. Like it or not, the constant annual CoD-slop train we have now had to start somewhere and this game has it's part to play in that origin. As I've come to realize about it's prequels, I will always value Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for the place in my past it holds. The time spent with friends over it will never be taken from me, but that is, undeniably, in the past and can't ever be replicated just by a purchase. Anyone new looking at this...no. This will not hold up as some ludonarrative masterwork that formed the foundation of a franchise. It was just a big name game that helped found a franchise. As it is, I can't really say I had fun coming back to this, so no. I do not recommend it.
