**Not Recommended** Imagine buying a video game in 2026 and being told that you need to update your motherboard BIOS just to launch it. That's exactly what happened to me with Call of Duty. For the average PC gamer, updating a BIOS is not some routine software update. It's a low-level hardware procedure that carries real risk. If something goes wrong, you can end up with an unusable system. Yet Activision seems to think every customer is comfortable performing firmware updates on their motherboard just to play a game. The worst part? My motherboard is old enough that there are no newer BIOS updates available anymore. So despite meeting the performance requirements, despite purchasing the game legitimately, and despite having a perfectly functional PC, I'm effectively locked out because of a hardware requirement completely unrelated to gameplay. I understand the need for anti-cheat measures. What I don't understand is punishing legitimate customers for the actions of cheaters. The people most affected by this policy aren't hackers—they're ordinary players who just want to enjoy a game they paid for. Activision has somehow managed to turn launching a shooter into a firmware maintenance project. Instead of optimizing the game or improving the player experience, they've added yet another barrier between customers and the product they purchased. If you're not comfortable updating your BIOS—or if your motherboard is too old to support the required version—be aware that you may pay for this game and still be unable to play it. Congratulations, Activision. You've created a game that requires less skill to play than it does to launch.

There really couldn't be a worse review. The developers claim to listen to the fans, but by "fans," they mean streamers. And I've never seen a good streamer, aside from "TheBurntPeanut," and that was with Arc Raiders. This franchise is in it's dying phase, as the "last pale light in the west," rapidly dims. We can all look to this as a memorial for the last good game(s) they made - Black Ops 2, and Modern Warfare - before streamers took that over. I can honestly say, gaming used to be fun; go to work, come home turn on the game, and not have to put much effort into mind-numbing games. But ever since the past 5-7 years, it's all been taken over by kids and adults who don't want to contribute anything to society, stay home all day, and "stream." I think that also, the D.E.I. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that Call of Duty introduced in to their last game - Black Ops 7 - really set the tone for their ultimate demise. I don't want to play a game made by blue hair fairy furry ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that are so liberally confused as to what their biological body parts are - they need therapy, and a lot of it. For instance, I was part of the Midnight Release at GameStop when Black Ops 2 came out, and I cannot begin to tell you the excitement, the anticipation, the knowing I am going to stay up late to play zombies, and how that single event was a milestone in my life. Now, there are rarely any physical copies of games made because everything is digital - ironically, this is where "streamers" prevail. They don't have to leave the house, they make money from gooning lunatics that frivolously forfeit their paychecks just to get "a mention." Has society really come this far down, that we have people that one, don't contribute to society, and two, lonely ass people that have had "too much iPad time," that they lack basic social skills. If you've made it this far reading, then I applaud you. If you give this a good old fashioned "like," then I'll know I am not alone in my general distaste for Call of Duty, streamers as a whole, and the ever-fading reminiscing of when gaming used to be fun. Disrespectfully yours, -D
I have never seen a game that has tried so hard to make getting into the game hard. You need a new account seperate from steam, phone number, email, give access to bios, follow a installation guide, restart the game 3 or 4 times, allocate 350gbs of storage, and more. Idk how they every thought this was a good idea just wanted to play zombies not follow a installation tutorial and sign my soul away.
Downloaded 150 GB just for the launcher, only to be told I needed to download the entire game again. Fantastic start. Then, after wasting even more time and storage, the game decided I’m not allowed to play because TPM 2.0 needs to be enabled. Except… TPM 2.0 IS ENABLED. Apparently, that’s not good enough. Now I also need to update my BIOS just to launch the game. So the current Warzone experience is: Download 150 GB. Download the entire game again. Update your BIOS. Pray to the Activision gods. Maybe, just maybe, you get to play. 10/10 gaming experience. Truly revolutionary. Why play the game when you can spend hours troubleshooting it instead?
To play I had to: -Download 210GB of absolute nonsense -Update my BIOS -Enable Secure boot -Enable TPM 2.0 -Re install the entire game Just to find out that THAN I still had cheaters in my lobbies... CoD is dead
Genuinely feel that whoever rates this a positive rating and calls it "fun" either has brain damage or is an Activision employee The 350+ hours I have in this updater disguised as a game came from the time I was playing MW3 and BO6's Warzone. While still being a mess with performance it was genuinely fun, until the BO7 integration. Never touched the updater since and you shouldn't either.
Спасибо за легальный аим.
With mw4 you guys achieved another benchmark down the spiral. To explain exactly why it is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the controller aim assist is unreal and basically locking onto people. It literally pulls and locks straight onto upper torso and head with zero effort, making the game completely unplayable on keyboard and mouse because you just get tracked automatically with no human reaction delay. On top of that, the time to kill is completely broken and inconsistent where you just get melted instantly with zero counterplay. Add in the absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ maps with terrible flow, and the fact that basic pc settings like the independent ads fov option aren't even available. This is the first year I am actually refunding a cod game. 0/10 gl hf activision.
the couldn't stop the cheaters, so they destroyed the game. fire everyone and start over these devs have gotten too comfortable
