About
Cairn’s realistic simulation allows intuitive climbing: find the best holds and place your hands and feet seamlessly with simple controls. Adapt your posture, effort and balance —if you're not careful, you will fall!
As pro climber Aava, you embark on the ascent of Mount Kami, a summit that has never been reached. Along the journey, meet unexpected companions and hear from those left on the ground. Discover the mountain's history and decide what Aava is willing to sacrifice to achieve her dream.
You are free to climb anywhere. Explore the mountain, read the rock face from the ground and plan your route carefully to reach the top. Solve problems while on the wall to navigate difficult sections. You can climb on anything, so choose your path wisely!
Climbing is challenging: each wall feels like a boss fight. A thrilling challenge for those eager to test themselves, but you can also adjust the difficulty to customise your experience.
Manage your resources to survive during the long ascent: pitons, chalk, finger tape... but also food, water and medicine. Set up bivouacs and explore the mountain to find resources to reach the summit.
An unforgettable experience from the makers of Furi and Haven, with music and sound design by the team behind Limbo, Inside, Control and Cocoon, and art and story by renowned comic-book artist Mathieu Bablet.

Immersive gameplay, simple yet put you straight away into climbing. The music is just a match for the vibes of a lone wolf. For someone who liked to go hiking by myself, this game fill that feeling amazingly! It's been a while since I felt this way about a game. I woke up on a Sunday after two hours of play on late night Saturday, wanting to play it more and more. For a 30 year old gamer, this feeling is rare!
Would not reccomend. Main character is absolutely insufferable and throws screaming fits as if she's directing them at you. After multiple tries taking different routes of the same climb, watching her die started making me feel better lol. Climbing physics are super janky, the limbs don't connect well and rarely line up correctly with cracks and grooves and stamina is a whole other issue. Sometimes I'll take one foot off of solid ground to start climbing and Aava will start shaking violently like she already needs a stamina break after just one step... She has also shot off of the wall during a climb and plumetted to the ground regardless if she lost her traction/stamina or not. I used every possible advantage (chaulk, cooked food, etc) to see if that helped and it barely did anything. And keep in mind this was all on easy mode. Maybe I'm just plain bad at the game or there are things to be fixed, not sure.
relaxing when u get used to the climbing mechanics
Really fun rock climbing gameplay loop (ice climbing not so much). Also, a big plus on allowing to adjust the gameplay settings if you only just want to focus on climbing. You will instantly know if this game is for you within the first hour of the tutorial, so its worth giving it a shot if you're on the fence about it. Story overall is enjoyable at times with an unlikable protagonist that keeps you interested throughout. I say unlikable in a positive way. Shoutout to the character Marco, who carries the story and its progression. It tries to deliver a grand message, but its a straight forward story if you're familiar with stories tackling similar themes.
this ♥♥♥♥ is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the best games i've ever played. Hands down. Altough a simple concept the gameplay is addictingly simple and very replayable. Unexpectedly very deep story concept about the cost of holding onto ideas and whether its too late to change or if its the time too. Very beautiful visuals aswell, the skybox feels like your in a painting sometimes which i love. Very great game totally worth a play through.
The climbing game of my dreams
