A cute game! Really fun art style. There's not a lot of choices to make in the game, especially towards the end, but there are multiple story paths to take depending on who you befriend. Overall, I enjoyed.

Геймплей сосредоточен на исследовании окружения и решении несложных головоломок, что позволяет полностью погрузиться в атмосферу. Саундтрек, состоящий из спокойных и мелодичных композиций, отлично дополняет визуальный ряд и усиливает эффект погружения. Сюжет, хоть и не отличается особой сложностью, рассказывает трогательную историю о взаимопомощи и преодолении трудностей. Однако, у игры есть и минусы. Некоторым игрокам геймплей может показаться слишком простым и медленным. Кроме того, продолжительность игры относительно невелика, и её можно пройти за несколько часов. В целом, By Moonlight – это приятный инди-проект, который стоит внимания, если вы цените атмосферу, красивый визуальный стиль и не ищете сложного геймплея. Это прекрасный способ расслабиться и отвлечься от повседневной суеты.

It's a fun short game with nice music and a very charming artstyle reflective of the cast. After one full playthrough of a route and the different bad endings you can skip most of the main story given that it's the same each time and only read the different character interaction with the character(s) you choose as investigation partner(s). An issue I do have with the game though is the interface that is sometimes unresponsive and requires you to restart the game (like when you go into settings). Also there is a noticable tendency to crash sometimes. None of that makes it unplayable, but it can be a bit annoying. Either way I recommend this visual novel for it's lovable cast of characters and interesting story.

This game is extremely adorable ^^!!! It's very respective of pronouns, its comedy is very funny, and its characters are very original and likeable. I love the art and I hope the developers continue to make more :). If you like visual novels, anime, and are lgbt, then I'd really suggest this game.

If there was a neutral option for reviews, I would pick it. However since steam only has a recommend and don't recommend I went for the more positive answer. I don't hate this game, and I don't hate that I played it. By Moonlight is free after all, didn't have to put any of money in to play the game. Doesn't mean I didn't feel disappointed when I finished playing. I played through a couple of different routes, picked varying dialogue options to try and get a feel for this game and I still came out with an unchanged impression. Do you like wattpad fanfiction? Then you'll probably enjoy this game. Personally for me, I found the writing to be exactly like something you'd find on wattpad, not a bad or good thing really, just not what I jive with. The character designs were nice to look at, the art style has a nostalgic Deviantart OC feel to it. Again not for everybody, but it fits into some nice niches.
