Butterflies is a video game about inline skating and graffiti. Apparently some people did that before, but they don't seem like they'll be doing it anymore.

Sad because I wanted to like it! The controls are just too clunky. Feels less fluid than the original Jet Set Radio, which this is clearly inspired by.
Jogo muito cru, é uma tentativa de um JSR porém com controles ruins e espaço limitado
Played this game for a bit. Hopped off my PC and went to pick up the dog poop. Had more fun doing that.

Controls are extremely clunky like jet set radio games, as someone who loves jet set radio games this one doesn't really hit. the control feel extremely clanked in comparison.. the movement is disorienting to the max, and navigating isn't something relatively fun... the trailer really make this game look good, which i'm sure it is, but the learning curve of just the controls alone are insane. and trying to learn the game isn't easy because there's nothing but police officers and these lightning balls griefing you constantly. it's like jet set radio but cops are constantly up your AHole. which the cops in jsr games were/are annoying and were there mainly for story purposes, this game i don't have a clue on why there's nothing but cops in said areas... maybe it's episode 1... this game use to be like $60 for base game and all the dlc... this game would of been a easy refund on my end.. go play bomb rush cyberfunk if you want a smooth game with perfected Clunky controls. give this one a try.. it's not for everyone.
Graphics are kind of weird, same as the characters, controls are a little bit weird, but you can learn the movement pretty quickly. The first thing that i liked about the game was soundtrack. If you like jet set radio, better buy Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. 6/10 edit: after playing this for a while, i got used to the characters and graphics, i think this kind of graphics fits this game.
Butterflies nails the feeling of flight. The most fun I've had grabbing air in a game. Soar in style. Would love to see the engine for this expanded on. A full fledged Metrovania on blades.
The game takes inspiration from everything it can from JSR The kick ass music The cool characters and general style The god awful controls The Interesting locations The god awful controls The enemies that are more annoying than dangerous THE GAME CONTROLS LIKE ASS Everything else is cool though

Even though the intro recommends a controller, I like the controls, and the gamefeel. Speed is fine. Graphics are mostly appropriate. The GUI is mostly fine, but text is often hard to read due to dark-on-dark colors. All the text could be made more visible with an outline and this wouldn't be overly hard of a change to make, relative to changing anything else. But I didn't have a sense of objective in the game. In episode 1, which is the only I tried, there's a bunch of spots to tag, and... that seems to be it? There's turrets that shoot you as you try to tag things and it's not challenging, but merely annoying. There is a tutorial but there are no turrets or moving enemies there, showing you how they work. Feels confusing. But by far what I dislike the most is the environment. It's grey and dark and in shadow.
