Pros:Great game Cons: too short not enough choices not worth the money

Burokku Girls is the latest game from Silver Cow Studios, who previously developed Time Tenshi, another similar VN. This confuses me, since Time Tenshi's cliffhanger ending still hasn't been resolved with the sequel yet, but what can you do, right? If you haven't played Time Tenshi, the basic gist of these games is a focus on a deep "plot" and "well-developed" characters, by which I mean "great big gazongas". The actual storylines aren't bad, but at times they feel like more of a conveyor belt for floppy funbags, and it's safe to say that if you're not buying it for the sweater puppies you might want to look elsewhere. I didn't really like the story of Burokku Girls as much as I did Time Tenshi, but it was still decent outside of the occasional moment where it fell too deep into anime cliche. This game is notably darker than Time Tenshi, however, which might be off-putting for people just looking for a good wank. But the real question is, does it end on a cliffhanger like Time Tenshi? This is a fun little visual novel with heavy emphasis on fanservice and minimal player choice. I do wish it was longer, but for the low price, I don't think it's too bad. Overall, I had a good time with and I'm looking forward to more.

Not bad.

I'll start this off with Silver Cow is a bad "company". They've been basically inactive for a year and a half on their Patreon hoping they could continue to milk to pledges while releasing a trickle of "we're totally doing something" updates. Half of the updates never came to fruition and are just dropped projects culminating into nothing. Getting paid to show no results is pretty sweet. HOWEVER! Taking ~800 dollars a month to produce nothing wasn't good enough for Silver Cow. They decided to create a Kickstarter to remake their first game but with the fetish content removed. The most interesting part (to me) is the stretch goals were all things they were stringing Patrons along with. They said there would be VA work and it would be on the Switch and yet somehow they became Kickstarter Stretch Goals. After a year and a half of inactivity it would also take them ~8 more months to create Time Tenshi Redux But Lamer. This didn't go over that well and they lost ~300 dollars on their Patreon. So how did the Kickstarter do? It failed after getting a "mysterious" last minute donation of ~1500 dollars (their own, I assume) putting them above the all-or-nothing funding goal. It was mysteriously cancelled on the same day it was funded and Silver Cow, being very transparent, didn't address it at all. It took them 27 days to break the silence of sitting on their buttocks collecting supporter money to announce that it would be "self-funded". That brings us to today. Currently Silver Cow is pushing ahead with Remake which would be whatever but they've also started deleting any and all criticism from their Patrons. No matter how polite it is worded. Criticism is not allowed even if you give them money so they kind of forced my hand. As for the games? They gradually got worse after 2. Paradox is straight up abandoned at this point as they try to chase the normie buck by making shovelware for the Switch. Yes, Bargain Hunter, I mean you. Frankly, I wouldn't recommend anything from Silver Cow. TT2 was their high point and then they took a tumble. If you were here for fetish stuff? Less and less as the games came out and what was there was low quality. Story? Time Tenshi 2 was serviceable but after that there was a pretty big drop going to Paradox and their other non-TT games. In the end, mediocre games helmed by a bad developer. And I done. You're welcome for the reviews.

This has so far been the worst visual novel I have ever read. Story: A boy is sent to a virtual world as a result of his dad's VR experiment gone wrong and he must now save the citizens of this world from certain doom. Honestly, it's the kind of story an 8 year-old could have written. It's uninteresting and very cliché, and frankly, there's not much else to say about it. It just sucks. Also, it ends on such a stupid cliffhanger, that I feel like they either ran out of a budget, or they got completely bored of making this game. Props for it being short, at least. ~ 2/10 Art: There's something seriously wrong with the art here. I'm pretty sure they used at least 3 different artists for the art because some images look completely different from the style of another. It's super inconsistent, and worst of all, none of the art is even that good anyway. Also, seeing as this is an ecchi visual novel, they somehow thought it'd be a great idea for every female (beside's the MC's mother) to have the biggest pair of ta-ta's you will ever see in your life. It just doesn't work and I found it more humorous than "sexy." ~ 2/10 That's pretty much all I have to say about it. There's no spoken dialogue and even though it's short, it still feels like it drags on because of how boring it is. [b]Final Score ~ 2/10[/b]

This game feels very half-assed. I don't mean that in a good way. It is supposed to be a cheap, romance sim located in the 'Minecraft' world, but you never get too deep into it before it just...fails. I bought it for a cheap laugh and now I'm regretting buying it at all. Even at a discount, this game isn't worth it. Avoid this game at all costs.

Burokku Girls is a rather impressive light ecchi novel. It's got some rather interesting characters framed around a world that may seem cliche on the outside. But deep down the game has a lot of heart. It's true that the game has adult themes and sexual content that is in step and stride with the ecchi genre, but it is also a game that has a lot of heart and drive behind it. These games are not just ecchi focused. Silver Cow Studio wanted to build a world, a universe, something to house their characters. And they put a lot of work into them. The games are very text heavy, there's a lot to read. But if you put the time and effort into them to enjoy the characters and the worlds for what they are, both this and Time Tenshi are amazing. There's not much in the choices or gameplay. These are novels with some nice artwork and some interactive animations. A rather nice soundtrack, beautiful backgrounds and some sexy fun. If you've played Time Tenshi, you'll probably like Burokku Girls. Likewise, if you like this, you'll probably like Time Tenshi. The quality and care between the games are virtually the same. I support Silver Cow Studio, and hope they continue to make more of these.
