Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.63/day in the week to Aug 3 → 8/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
No Bugs In This Bug Shop
Budgie's Bug Shop is a short but enjoyable incremental game. It takes roughly 2.5 hours to 100% and has enough content to be engaging for that length of time.
---Difficulty---
⬜ Tell My Wife I L... ⬜ Engage the gamer position ⬜ A Chill Challenge 🟩 Are we still on the tutorial? ⬜ Easier than regretting the number of hours I've spent on Dota. In general, it's a pretty relaxing active incremental. There are aspects of "difficulty", but nothing that's actually difficult. You drop nets which need to be timed to hit the bug you want, but after a while you can just spam them and the combos will do the work for you. There are 2 upgrade lists and 1 tech tree, with the upgrade lists only consisting of 3 options each, so there's no need to worry about optimising.
---Enjoyment---
⬜ Absolute euphoria 🟩 Worth your time ⬜ It's aight ⬜ Beats daytime TV ⬜ Ayoo, there's paint drying over there I had a good time completing this. Each of the 12 maps has an independent level which increases the capacity and value of bugs on it, giving you a side goal of levelling these areas at least to max bug capacity. The tech tree was fun to work through and the upgrades there felt very effective.
---Quality---
⬜ Even better than oddly satisfying hydraulic press videos at 2am 🟩 B-E-A-U-tiful ⬜ Enjoyable ⬜ Janky but manageable ⬜ GET THE BUG SPRAYYYYYYY The art is really nice and the bugs look good for the style of game. There are also random facts about the different bug types, which is a nice addition. As mentioned previously, the upgrades and tech tree work well. There is a wide range of bugs with different traits, along with a couple of features added as you progress, such as burrowing bugs or bugs that needed to be stunned first, which added to the gameplay nicely. You can also get interns for passive income, but this is rather negligible given the short play length, although it's nice that it's there.
---Conclusion---
Overall, Budgie's Bug Shop is a good pick up. With just over 2 hours of content, I think it could have been expanded on just a little more, although it never reached the point of becoming tedious or boring. At its current price of £5, I'm happy with it.
