An adorable puzzle game with a charming art style and winsome soundtrack. I adore the cute animations that trigger when successfully interacting with the objectives of the game, making for instant, positive feedback. The game is just a few, short levels that can be completed in about an hour. Each level tasks you with helping items find their right place, like [spoiler]bringing a carrot to a snowman without a nose[/spoiler]. There are also bonus objectives to locate a certain number of specific, scattered items, with what type of item it is differing per level. There aren’t really any hints provided. The game trusts that you can find what looks to be missing and how your item can make a scene more complete. And this design choice is quite refreshing. The tutorial focuses on the basic game mechanics rather than handholding you through the game like so many others: it's OK that you didn't find the correct place immediately, let's keep looking. This almost invokes a quirky sense of treasure hunting and exploration. The pathfinding is a bit inconsistent at times, especially around corners or across blocking objects. Imagine standing alongside a river and needing to go to the other side. One can’t simply click the far bank and let the game figure out how to get there; I had to click a nearby bridge first, and once there I could click on the other side of the river. The menus are simple and mostly pictographic, making them navigable by kids, elders, and non-native speakers. A lovely game that is a perfect activity to play through with the nieces and nephews.
