About
The year is 1921 and you've been sent on your first assignment to uncover why a SOS signal has been sent from the Emma. After you arrive, you explore the desolate ship and find that everything is not as it seems. Bodies lay around the ship, mysterious icons and glyphs populate the ship, and there is a strange book that seems to call your name...
In Broken Voyage, you will solve murders, uncover a Lovecraftian mystery, collect notes and clues, solve puzzles, and use deductive logic to figure out what happened to the Emma.
Broken Voyage is a first-person Lovecraftian detective game with a realistic style. Broken Voyage was developed by students in the University of Utah's Entertainment Arts & Engineering capstone class.

The game crashed and there are no saves. I wouldn’t even call it a detective game—more like a puzzle with a dark atmosphere, and there’s no horror at all. Overall, a boring game.
Pros: This game is really good for a short game, I reallt like the mechanic of seeing past actions with the book The story is interesting Cons: There is a specific last clue (captain´s last name) wich is dependent on graphics, but I couldnt see it at first in any configuration only reseting the game I could see it, this is a really bad problem since it could make it impossible to finish i hope they fix that Spoiler/hint below.... You can see the clue for captain´s last name in the trailer, I guess it´s because "that´s how it´s supposed to look"

Recommended 👍 I’m 4 hours deep into Broken Voyage and I’m genuinely losing my mind over the Captain’s last name. I’ve solved every other entry on the ship, but I’m stuck at the very end. The atmosphere in this game is great, it’s just this constant, eerie rainstorm that sets a perfect mood for the investigation. The standout for me is definitely the Necronomicon; using it to time travel the events that happened around the ship is a fun storytelling mechanic. The detail in the items is also top-tier. I’ve spent way too much time staring at the whale tooth scrimshaw, using it to track down hidden locks, and obsessing over that Fleur-de-lis crest on the back. Even the "Capitan" misspelling in the ledger feels like a breadcrumb I’m supposed to follow, but I still can't bridge the gap to an actual name. I’m hoping the devs or anyone who finishes the game sees this and could DM me a hint. I’ve checked every nook and cranny, tracked the notes, and jumped through time, but I’m missing that one final link for the Captain. I even restarted the whole game and went through it again because I thought maybe there was a bug or glitch. I really want to see how this story ends.
Very much wants to be Obra Din, but isn't. Very glitchy - got stuck in the captain's desk and had to restart. I don't mean I got stuck on a puzzle, but actually in the desk! Can't finish the game as it says that I've only completed 11 out of the 8 puzzles - yes, you're reading that right. As other reviews say, you can only read the captain's name if you have a very specific graphics set up. Typos everywhere detract from the story, which is a shame as it's quite a nice setting (if quite derivative).
Genuinely where is the wheel?
Está bueno....
This game is surprisingly good for being a student project. The visuals are great (probably helps to have a higher end PC). The puzzles can be confusing, it's important to keep looking back at things you may have picked up a while ago. As an important note: there is a game-breaking bug that prevents you from finishing the game. To avoid it, don't interact with the final body
(the one with the "destroy" interact prompt)
until you have completely filled out the crew report. I might be biased since I know some of the devs, but I do really think this is a good game.
читать на англиском не уметь, игра ходить читать, скучно, оптимизация может и есть но на новый пэка
A fun, brief journey into the aftermath of the Emma, that i came across while looking for niche games in the Interactive Recommender. i do have an issue with how finding the captains last name is dependent on your graphics settings, but other than this, it was a fun little jaunt.
