About
ONE BREATH, COUNTED TWICE. Ending a turn costs breath. Taking a wound costs more. Every breath you spend is a point on the board, and the breath you have left is the only thing keeping you human. Empty the reserve and the curse takes you. Fewest breaths wins, so the whole game is a squeeze: climb faster, bleed less, spend nothing you do not have to.
THE CLIMB. Eighteen floors of turn-based card combat. Telegraphed intents, branching doors, shrines, altars, relics, and a deck you sharpen one hard choice at a time. Six classes, each a different way to ration the same breath. Every creature you fight was a prisoner like you, cursed and left until its breath ran out. Killing one is a mercy. You take its weapon and you climb.
A DAILY EVERYONE CLIMBS. One shared seed. The same tower, the same floors, the same monsters, for everyone, every day. Fewest breaths to the top makes the board. Every run is replayed move by move on the server, so the number on the board is earned, not claimed. No RNG excuses. The only currency is skill.
THE STORY. Sir Vael beat the Ash King's champion in single combat and made the mistake of sparing him. The Ash King won the war anyway, took Vael alive, and had his hexwright curse the knight's breath. Now Vael is locked in the Breathtoll, the King's prison-tower, racing two clocks. His own curse is one: when his breath runs out, he becomes the next monster in the next cell. His wife is the other. Commander Mara holds the city's last wall against the Ash King's raid, and Ser Corvain, the King's Hammer, the man Vael spared, means to take the wall and her. Climb out. Kill the Hammer. Reach her before either clock runs out.
One breath economy, counted twice. Spend the least and top the board; spend it all and the curse ends your run.
Eighteen telegraphed floors. Every intent is shown. Every death is yours.
A shared-seed daily. The same tower for everyone, every day, on a free daily leaderboard.
Provably fair. Every submitted run is re-simulated move by move on the server.
Six classes. Each rations breath a different way, from the aggressive Arsonist to the handicapped Penitent.
A deck you earn. Altars, shrines, relics, and the weapon of every prisoner you free.
