As someone who's playtested this game since it's earliest iterations I can say it just keeps bringing you back. It's a fun party game to play with your friends for an hour or two everytime you hang out. The short format of matches keeps you engaged and coming back for more. There is no luck in this game so it's a pure contest of skill against your friends which creates a sense of fairness. Chaos mode adds plenty of fun elements of randomness. Each option adding various challenging and funny effects. You will keep coming back to this game repeatedly.
Fun and awesome ! I my top 5 of co-op games. It's very sad that game is so unpopular. I played it with several friends and all of them liked it
Such a fun game :) Bought it for the holidays and played it with a few friends. Plays great on a steam deck. I only wish there was a mode were you could choose your own modifiers and an option that self kills don’t give points to the last surviving player. (There might even be an option for that, but I’m either misunderstanding what it does or it doesn’t work the way it’s intended)
It's simple but fun. Haven't tried it with Remote Play together yet, where I am sure it will really shine.
I don't usually play shooters. Ironically, BreakBall is my favorite shooter. It's the anti-shooter. You have one bullet, and you really gotta shoot your shot well. In a way, the game is more about not shooting. Once you shoot, you're vulnerable and you have to find a safe way to pick up a bullet without dying. The bullet also bounces. This combined with having only 1 bullet is genius design. The game asks you to play strategically, but the fast pace rushes you and creates a manic experience. The dev does twists on shooters really well (see: Sentry Project, where you loop between moving and shooting and have to plan around it). The sound design is minimal, but does the job so well. There is something musical and exhilarating with the way the bullets ricochet at ever increasing speeds. I recommend this game as a fun party game with friends. It's super fast to pick up, it can be played by people who don't usually play shooters, it rewards skill, just not the typical kind. But it's also random and creates insane moments; I've yelled "♥♥♥♥" more times playing BreakBall than I have this entire year.
This is an amazing game. It's really good with friends.
