Bramble: The Mountain King

Bramble — захоплива, і дуже моторошна пригода. Гра постійно балансує між дитячою казкою та кривавим жахом. Те що відбувається в гра, словами важко описати. Візуальний стиль вражає, а сюжет тримає в напрузі до самого кінця.

Запускаючи Bramble: The Mountain King, я не мала жодних особливих очікувань. Навпаки, була майже впевнена, що гра мені не сподобається, адже я зовсім не люблю горори. Так, гра дійсно моторошна, але зовсім не через дешеві скрімери, як я собі уявляла. Лякає не щось, що раптово вистрибує на екран, а те, наскільки безжалісним і жорстоким є світ гри. Саме це повністю змінило моє ставлення до неї. Атмосфера справді зачепила. Розробникам вдалося створити чарівний, але водночас тривожний світ, у якому краса постійно межує з жахом. Чудова музика, казкові пейзажі та загальний настрій лише посилювали враження від проходження. Окремо хочу відзначити тривалість гри та простий геймплей. Мені сподобалося, що Bramble не намагається штучно розтягнути проходження чи перевантажити гравця механіками. Вона розповідає свою історію рівно стільки, скільки потрібно, і не встигає набриднути. Однозначно рекомендую цю гру всім, хто любить темне фентезі, похмурі казки та атмосферні пригоди. Для мене вона стала одним із найприємніших сюрпризів за останній час.

HOLY SH.T !! What did I just witness?! What did I just play? I don't think I'll ever be able to play anything average again. Questlog, Map, Inventory Management???? I´m done with this kind of stuff! What a rollercoaster ride this was! I´m playing since "Commodore Plus 4", have done and tried it all, just name it. But Bramble, HOLY F..., intensity through the roof! I have to reflect and process this trip. I´m at a loss for words. UNREAL !

Игра просто ВАУ! Красивая картинка, интересная история. Из минусов не самое удобное управление, но со временем можно привыкнуть. А так всё очень понравилось, советую к покупке и прохождению.

I have always struggled with this kind of games - essentially scripted levels with narrow interactivity. Perhaps I am still traumatized by Dragon's Lair back in the day (if you know, you know), but I happen to be one of the few people who didn't really enjoy Little Nightmares and quit halfway, nor did I like the recent hit Reanimal which bored me after an hour. However, I have completed this game and although I had to play it over several short sessions and at times push through a bit, I have overall enjoyed it. Although it shares a lot with the games I mentioned mechanically, the checkpoints are more gentle and I didn't find it as frustrating which helped greatly. I kept playing this one because of the gorgeous visuals, the beautiful dark story and atmosphere, and the excellent voice acting. The game is technically superb, including the almost flawless camera work, which is a common complaint with this kind of game since it's so difficult to program. There aren't many music tracks but those few, are really nice. Definitely recommended. Going out to pick blackberries will never feel the same again.

Music is fantastic, the art style and graphics are great, the story is neat. In one look at the store page you'll know if the setting appeals to you. It certainly did to me. The gameplay is very simple, though, which isn't really a bad thing. There were some parts that were a little frustrating, though. On the other hand, it's only very minor. I can understand why the "yellow paint" phenomenon has became such a standard in games because in this game, man, there are some times I didn't really get where the game wanted me to jump to, causing me to die. The deaths take me out of the game more than the yellow paint does in Resident Evil, but that's just how I see it. Overall not a big deal and all the other good parts should be the important part.
