Bramble: The Mountain King no es solo un juego de terror, es un cuento que respira entre sombras. Desde el primer minuto te envuelve con una ambientación preciosa y perturbadora a partes iguales. Visualmente es una maravilla: escenarios que parecen sacados de un libro ilustrado… si ese libro hubiera sido escrito después de una pesadilla. La música y el sonido hacen un trabajo espectacular creando tensión constante. No necesita abusar de sustos fáciles; aquí el miedo nace de la atmósfera, de lo que intuyes que puede estar acechando entre los árboles. A nivel jugable es accesible, con exploración y pequeños puzles que acompañan la narrativa sin romper el ritmo. No es un juego centrado en la dificultad, sino en la experiencia. Y vaya experiencia. Eso sí, aunque tenga una estética que puede parecer de cuento, no es para todos los públicos. Toca temas oscuros y tiene momentos realmente inquietantes. En definitiva, es una aventura breve pero intensa, que combina belleza y horror con mucha personalidad. Si te gustan los juegos narrativos con ambientación cuidada y folklore retorcido, este es un viaje que merece la pena.

FANTASTIC GAME.

In the nicest way possible this game feels 10 years older than it actually is. Its got an older look to it, is a little janky, but has charm and even has a few scary moments. The nordic mythology stuff is cool. But the boss fights drag on a bit, the last one was fine since it was the final boss but some of the earlier ones are a slog. If you love Little Nightmares and want to play something similair this may do the job, its not as good but is for sure inspired by that series. Definitely would not pay full price for this, its a decent game but wait for a big sale

This captivating yet chilling little horror fairytale draws deeply from Swedish folklore and mythology. The environments evoke a distinctly Scandinavian landscape, while the soundtrack blends Nordic herding calls, Swedish hymns, and traditional folk music. Most of the creatures hail from ancient Scandinavian folk beliefs, including gnomes, trolls, giants, the nixie, the forest nymph, and "the lantern old man" (a being akin to a will-o'-the-wisp). The juxtaposition of breathtaking natural scenery with a dark, brooding narrative is masterful, perfectly capturing the essence of Swedish spirit. It's decidedly not a children's game, thanks to its grim themes, and it features several challenging boss fights. My playthrough clocked in at nearly nine hours, though I skipped the toughest achievement, which demands completing the game without dying or restarting any level. I likely died 20-30 times, which is probably a typical count for a first run, as mastering the mechanics and boss patterns takes practice. I highly recommend it to fans of Little Nightmares (another Swedish creation) and anyone who appreciates this blend of adorable yet macabre horror. I powered through the entire game in one sitting because I simply couldn't stop - probably the ultimate hallmark of an engrossing experience.
