Bramble: The Mountain King

Grim meets whimsy in this beautifully dark Nordic tale. Gameplay and puzzles are really chill. This game is absolutely more about the story. It starts light and lovely and gets dark fast. I absolutely loved the story, and it balanced light and whimsical with the incredibly dark themes surprisingly well. It's definitely a story that sits with you for a moment after it's done. Absolutely not a game for kids, holy hell. If you like dark stories that take you to the depths, this game's for you. If you have a sensitive heart, maybe stay away from this one.

It is a really captivating and mystical experience with many brutal stories from nordic-folklore. Even though the storyline is extremely linear it still feels loose and whimsical. it mixes the imaginary beings and circumstances of old times with the learnings of human nature - if you look for it and think about it. It does not explain itself or why things are happening. which is refreshing. It does not fall into the same trap that many other short story driven games - that it becomes boring or unengaging. It remains crisp up to the final moments. Short and intense game. It took me 5 hours to complete which makes (playtime to dollar) a bit pricy compared to other titles. If you are inspired or fascinated by Little Nightmares then this game will most likely not let you down. Money well spend.

Had a lot of fun playing this game and good entertainment value for the money. Can warmly recommend the game.
