Alright. BRAINBUGS: The Game is done and dusted. This took about ten minutes to complete and is a free to play title. I'm guessing this first released on Itch or somewhere similar given as how the release date shown in the game in 2024, and the release date here on Steam was April 10, 2026. Apparently, this is also a prelude to BRAINBUGS: The Movie scheduled for release in 2025. 2025? Yes. No idea what's going on with the timelines, but anyway: This is a quick hitting little game fusing RPG Maker gameplay with some quick FMV cutscenes. Interesting to me is the two main characters have actual photos as their avatars. Which was a nice touch. All other characters are RPG Maker sprites, and I believe five total characters are represented in the FMV sections, so there are five actors. Probably one is the dev? No voice acting and this game also doesn't feature screenshot support. So yeah, you play as a disillusioned young man working as a door dash delivery guy. Your parents don't listen to you and you do live at home still. Broke, bummed out, and yet just doing your thing day in day out. The game features you making deliveries until your last delivery goes awry, which culminates in the game's conclusion and the notice that the story will continue with the aforementioned movie. In 2025 lol. I guess we'll see what comes from that. Clearly the dev is a bit behind schedule, but given as how this released on Steam two years after having been made, I would presume we can expect a similar timeline for the movie? Yeah. That's really all there is to talk about at the moment. It's a decent little experience, and there is the promise off something more which is cool. Give it a look. It costs nothing but ten minutes out of your life. And maybe also give the dev a follow. The game has a cool black-and-white style, but it’s extremely boring, and of course there’s a boost of positive reviews. A typical 2D trash game that Steam is full of.
very intrigued by the story and wanting to watch the movie someday hopefully
its a ok game kinda intrested in seeing the movie now just wish the game was longer
its a really nice story with a nice art style. overall only thing that I'd consider bad is the fact the story is really short
this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing i really wish it was longer (could you also gift me something pls) but anyways the game was absolutely amazing
10 minutes - it was interesting I suppose. I would have just driven off without the dude.
short and simple, i was pretty amused by the spritework, memorable in the sense that its visuals were unique. would recommend for anyone whos willing to spend a few minutes out of their day on something thatll maybe give you a laugh!
Creepy and fun
