About
Company: Zeno's Ventures LLC
Location: Dusthaven Crest
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Description
Zeno's Ventures LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual (that's you!) to oversee the operations of our one-of-a-kind bottomless pit. This is a unique opportunity to take charge of an infinite void that defies logic, physics, and common sense. The successful candidate will ensure the pit remains bottomless, uphold safety standards, and serve as the public face of the abyss.
Responsibilities
Pit Inspections: Conduct daily checks to verify the pit’s bottomless status, using methods such as: shouting into the void and listening for an echo that never comes, kicking rocks, and gazing (safely!) into the abyss.
Visitor Management: Guide curious tourists through our unique experience while maintaining appropriate safety protocols and collecting admission fees.
Facility Operations: Oversee daily revenue collection, upgrade our facilities, and ensure all amenities meet our visitor's expectations.
Qualifications
Education: Degree in Theoretical Physics, Void Management, or a related field not required.
Experience: None required!
Skills: Modest communication skills to encourage lazy visitors or negotiate with cryptic pit entities. Ability to peer into the abyss without blinking, weeping, or asking too many questions.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods while resisting the urge to jump in "just to see what happens." The pit is not ADA-compliant.
Benefits
Compensation: Competitive salary with opportunities for advancement!
Health Coverage: Comprehensive insurance, including treatment for abyss-induced vertigo, nihilism, and rope-burns.
Perks: On-site housing with a stocked fridge and amenities. Local wildlife offers gazing opportunities beyond the navel. Wearable merchandise may be delivered upon meeting your quarterly objectives.

Edit: running much better now, and I'm enjoying myself, the concept is fun like I thought! The camera is still super janky to use and control, and it still doesn't run great, even at lowest graphical settings. I keep getting things in my FOV starting to blur and unblur which is mostly fine but annoying when it does it to the text on the computer. But it's a fun little thing and I'm enjoying discovering what's going on Original negative review: I want to enjoy this game because the concept is neat but it runs really poorly, constantly stuttering. There's no graphics settings to make it better, just a volume slider and the option to invert x and y. Plus the amount the game tutorializes you is... not ideal. The "employee handbook" in your phone only lists what keys can be used and does not say anything about what they are for. Plus your thumb is often covering up part of whatever is on your phone, and it's weird that I have to navigate that or any other in world menu with arrow keys. From what I can figure, one of the things I'm supposed to be doing is pushing people into the pit, but the stuttering makes that really hard to do before the tourists move on again. Same for getting bonuses for taking pictures (and the method of taking pictures is... really janky. You have to position yourself to have what you want to be in view behind you, open your phone, press the D key 3 times to select camera, then E to open it, by which point tourists have probably moved on and you may not even be angled correctly. You can slightly adjust the angle you're at between 2 options, but you can't adjust yourself while in photo mode. Maybe this was intended? But it feels bad. It feels like it's trying to go for making as much of the UI as possible be in universe (computers and phones for instance) but not being able to select things with mouse and having to use keyboard to navigate them doesn't fit that. And I don't get what benefit going UIless gives this game. (The other alternative is that there are supposed to be UI elements but they just didn't load in, in which case the game is just broken and needs to be fixed before anything else.) Just like I don't understand what the benefit of the game going for this kind of realistic Firewatch-esque style is. Honestly, the limited tutorial and the limited UI would probably be fine if the game ran well. If it ran well, there might be a fun feeling of exploration to it, but with the constant stuttering, it's just tedious. The game also definitely involves some running around back and forth between locations, which could be neat to slowly automate away, but as is it's almost headache inducing. I hope the dev fixes it because as I stated I want to like this game
i enjoyed this game though i do agree a little more fleshing out in a story or something like that would be nice the game is rather over kinda quick and i would love more lore. I had no issues with the interface once on the phone but more options in the interface wouldn't be bad, like seeing the messages form the manager of boss
It is a little management game that takes you somewhere unexpected! The concept is fun and I was able to enjoy it to the end despite the jank. Let's call it very "rough around the edges", and hopefully it will get polished for future players!
> be me > bottomless pit supervisor > in charge of making sure the bottomless pit is, in fact, bottomless > occasionally have to go down there and check if the bottomless pit is still bottomless > one day i go down there and the bottomless pit is no longer bottomless > the bottom of the bottomless pit is now just a regular pit > distress.jpg > ask my boss what to do > he says “just make it bottomless again” > i say “how” > he says “i don’t know
