Great game with a unique atmosphere!
A really underrated fps thats a medieval gzdoom version of blood, amazing weapons, pretty good enemies, only issue is that the bosses are tanky as everlasting ♥♥♥♥, but def a great time. Played on the hardest difficulty and it was really fun. Highly recommend especially if your into build engine games.
Świetny i dojrzały mod do dooma - wart swojej ceny. Serdecznie polecam i oby więcej takich modów/gier (z takim szlifem i takim zaangażowaniem). P.S.
It's a lot of fun but the AI needs work, enemies get stuck on corners way too often.
great fun
This game is amazing. An obvious Heretic inspiration, but I like that. I also love the weapons and how unique they are. It isn't your typical staffs or magical abilities where the "weapon" sprite is just hands with some magic. $20 is a bit steep for this kind of game. But I got it on sale for $14 and it's definitely worth at least $15. I'm a sucker for GZ Doom games and this one is great. Buy it!
This is a fine game. The voice acting is charming, the guns are mostly fun to use. My biggest complaint would be most the enemies and bosses just walk straight toward the player , they don't really have any kind of AI or pathing and will get stuck on walls or doors. Otherwise this was an enjoyable experience and a great throwback to classic boomer shooters.
Good FPS like Blood
I don't even know where to begin with this game. I've put quite a few hours into it and overall I like it but there are some areas where it felt a bit lackluster. The Good: - THE SOUNDTRACK. The music is so good! Ambient yet catchy! - The weapons are a ton of fun. Each has an alternate fire. The cannon, for example, does cluster bombs after firing an explosion and its fun to watch enemies get anniliated. - The maps*. Some of the secrets are really creative and the map areas look really cool for a Doom-engine shooter. - Neat cutscenes that aren't usually seen in boomer shooters. Bad: - The maps. While the maps aren't bad on their own, they always have an easy passageway back to the beginning or other parts of the level. In theory this should make traversing the map super quick. In reality, this makes the maps extremely confusing and can cause the player to end up walking in loops and getting confused as to whether this area is one they've revisited yet or not. - The game crashed after beating E2M8. This might be because I'm on Linux but I hadn't had any issues on any other parts of the game, cutscene or otherwise but some reason after defeating the Raven Queen or whatever she's called, the game crashed. I just started a new game from E3M1. - Enemy placement. Some areas were just one or two baddies that were easily taken out. And then some areas took way too many attempts to get past. Like 30 enemies on the screen at once and no cover or anywhere to avoid them. Its especially bad when they drop in the water. They're darn near impossible to see, yet the hitscan almost guarantees they hit you while you struggle to hit them. This might be seen as a positive to veteran players who love that kind of challenge. - Speaking of enemies, they're pretty repetitive. The bosses are good. But I do wish there was more variety in the types of enemies you encountered. All in all I liked this game and would love to see more of it (with better map layout).
