Boo Bunny Plague
Down a cringe-inducing rabbit hole In brief glimmers, I guess the best I can say about Boo Bunny Plague's is that it had some potential to be an interesting and unique experience combining beat-em-up gameplay mechanics with comedy and musical elements (yes there is a series of terrible musical interludes the player must endure), but unfortunately none of what it presents to the player gels cohesively. The game's concept of a bunny seeking revenge in a post-apocalyptic world set as a comedy-musical could have been intriguing (in the right hands), but the execution here is so flawed and all over the place. It's bare-bones basic and ends up representing more of a students group submission project for their game-making course than an actual polished enjoyable retail game. Pros: - None Cons: - Unrefined Gameplay Mechanics: Despite its creative premise, Boo Bunny Plague suffers from unpolished and clunky gameplay mechanics. Controls are awkward, making basic movements and combat a frustrating experience. The lack of responsiveness diminishes any potential enjoyment. - Outdated Graphics: Even for its time the game's visuals are notably outdated, lacking the polish and detail expected in contemporary titles. Environments are repetitive, character models lack depth, and overall, the graphics fail to capture the player's attention or immerse them in the game world. - Poor Storytelling: While the concept holds promise, the execution of the narrative is terrible. The plot is so basic and unrefined that it fails to engage players. - Humorous Elements: Boo Bunny Plague's humour thinks that being crass and loud is funny. It's clear that some inspiration was taken from Gearbox's Borderlands series with regards to humour but nothing here is funny. Boo Bunny Plague is that annoying kid at school who is loud and obnoxious and thinks that every word that comes out of his/her mouth is hysterical when the reality is that they don't have a single funny bone in their entire body. In conclusion, Boo Bunny Plague falls short of its potential due to a combination of unrefined gameplay mechanics, outdated graphics, poor storytelling, horrendous humour with super annoying characters. Quite frankly, as a sane and intelligent adult human, there is nothing enjoyable here.
One word or phrase to sum up the experience
Annoying, a game that constantly thinks its funny when its not.
Performance/Bug related incidents
None experienced during my playthrough.
Similar to games
Hi-Fi Rush, Pizza Tower, Corgi Warlock
Rating ★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=869455503
很欢乐很无脑的游戏,就是机器兔拿着个贝斯到处乱砸的游戏···游戏打击感很差··· 剧情看不懂,内容感觉很无厘头,反正就是到处打砸砍然后看一堆莫名其妙的剧情···
dunno what this is but its good
Boo Bunny Plague is a hard game to describe, so here's the best I can do. It's a beat em up musical comedy where you play as a children's toy given life. Story: You play as Bunny. He and his best friend Gunny, alongside two of their other friends a taxi driver God Ganny and a demonic waitress Faye you're out on a quest to earn money to buy yourself a good auto repair system so you can take more damage, all while taking down a larger conspiracy. The writing is not the best, however there's this weird charm to it that I can't really put my finger on it. It often feels like an early 2000's american comedy movie classic about buddies on a road trip or something and the writing seems to be just on par with those films as well. If you will like it, it all depends on the person, so if you liked those movies you might enjoy it, but if you didn't then there's no point in playing this game. Graphics: Although I feel like the main character designs are great, everything else is just incredibly bland. The best way I can describe how I feel about the game is imagine having an insanely detail painting of an environment like a field and then painting stick figures on top of it. Everything just looks off, with character animations being stiff, looking more like puppets being pulled by strings and it just felt overall cheap. Audio: I'm mixed on the audio design of the game because there's tons I like and there's quite a few things I don't, so first with the good. The voice acting is surprisingly strong, it's definitely cheesy with Bunny being a really annoying character, but the actor doing really good work with the lines he's provided with and I really enjoyed every performance for the entire cast. The music is also surprisingly strong and there's quite a few catchy tracks that do add for some great background noise. However everything else sucks, especially the combat noises , like hits, walking animation and other stuff. It just all sounds cheap and I had problems where audio would cut out mid combat and then just cut back in for no reason. Gameplay: Boo Bunny Plague is basically a beat'em'up where your only goal is to beat your enemies into a pulp in each level. The best way to summarize the game is mash button to win. The combat starts off janky, but fun and quickly derails soon after. The game is pretty easy, however as soon as you encounter a difficulty spike, trust me that difficulty spike will mess your stuff up and that's usually in the final levels where they throw enemies in massive waves. The hit boxes in combat are often also really not all that great, your hits will often just not connect with enemies and when you get swarmed by a group of bad guys and your hits don't connect it does become incredibly annoying considering they often have no trouble beating you up. Boss fights are also not that good, they are often a much longer fight and since the combat is pretty bad, I don't really want to go through a longer and harder fight considering everything I go through in the so called "simpler" fights. These bosses are often really easy, but the bosses soak up hits like you hitting a sponge, not to mention sometimes there's other worries for you to keep your attention to. Verdict: Even though it's clearly not a very good game, I did enjoy my time with Boo Bunny Plague because it has this sort of weird charm to it, that I haven't seen in a game ever. My previous statement about if you enjoyed road trip comedies from the early 2000's and a tolerance for mediocre games you will most likely like the game, if you don't, well then stay away. Final Rating: 6/10 Pros: + Charming story + Some really good voice acting Cons: - Combat is terrible - Difficulty spikes get annoying to deal with - Visually pretty ugly If you liked this review please consider following our groups and curator pages at https://steamcommunity.com/groups/completingthebacklog and https://steamcommunity.com/groups/ImperialReviews

Boo Bunny Plague is a creative, original, extraordinary, and unique guitar bashing musical. It's a beautiful bite-sized masterpiece of South Park-esque style comedy and music. Any game that can make me laugh or simply bring a smile to my face is definitely worth the price of admission.
Someone played Bad Day L.A. and thought that making a successor to it is a good idea.
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
