You're not playing as a hero. You're not playing as a villain. You're playing as a SPEAR. And that's where life starts going downhill. Worth a try. A very atmospheric hour-long activity. An illustration of what a cursed weapon is like in games. The gameplay is straightforward. 7\10

A cool souls-like game where you have a bloodthirsty spear. The game borrows a lot from the Dark Souls series. The unique concept in this is that the spear is projectile which can only be thrown and there isn't a close combat option. I think Blood Spear has potential to be a full length game because of what I saw here was convincing.
For a solo project, it’s simply incredible work. Admittedly, it’s essentially a very short 30-minute demo, not even roughly equivalent to a single full level of your average soulslike. But when you realise this is a one-man solo project, the game is truly impressive. Of course, it’s not exactly a revelation in the world of video games, nor does it break new ground in the soulslike genre, but within its own sphere, it’s a project of very high quality.
Even on low graphics, the game is choppy and feels unoptimized. Couldn't enjoy the game or story with 2 frames per minute.
It was just fun its short but good and i wish they make a full game and have the whole story.
actually really good for what it is like REALLY good
its an awesome short game clearly inspired by the souls genre in terms of setting. the world is super cool and detailed and the combat is pretty good. theres a few minor bugs in the animation and i did really miss the jump button but other than that i can only say good things about this short adventure. I hope we see more from these devs in the future.
good game but i think it should be longer
Short but definitely fun and cool atmosphere.
