Reviews
Recommended 0.7 hours played Product received for free Bliss Valley: After Dark is a charming furry visual novel that stands out with its vibrant art style and engaging character interactions. In my brief playtime of just 0.7 hours, I was impressed by the colorful, hand-drawn visuals and the quirky, fun atmosphere. The game features a unique personality system, where you can allocate points to traits like Hedonism, Chaos, Pride, and Avarice, influencing the storyline and character relationships. The humor and light-hearted tone are a big plus, making the game enjoyable and easy to dive into. The writing is witty, and the characters are distinct and memorable. While the game is relatively short, it’s priced fairly, offering good value for fans of the genre. From what I’ve seen and from other reviews, the game successfully builds on the original Bliss Valley, expanding its world and adding more depth to interactions. The community feedback has been positive, with players appreciating the fun, unpredictable storylines and the lively character designs. Some reviewers noted minor issues like limited gameplay depth and occasional graphical or grammatical errors, but the developers are responsive and actively working on improvements. Pros: - Stunning, vibrant art style that brings the world to life - Engaging and humorous writing - Fair pricing for the content offered - Unique personality traits that affect the narrative Cons: - Short playtime for a full review - Could use more depth in gameplay and character development Overall: Bliss Valley: After Dark is definitely worth checking out if you enjoy furry-themed visual novels with a blend of humor and romance. It’s a fun, engaging experience that promises more with each playthrough and shows great potential for future updates. If you’re looking for a light-hearted, visually appealing furry adventure, this game is a solid pick.
Bliss Valley: After Dark I would say has its ups and downs in gameplay, storyline and art. for the good side of the game, the characters are very cute and the game controls are honestly not so bad. But the one thing that annoys me is that you can only save when your in your hotel room. I would rather have the save mechanics in the first game considering they were easier to manage and store certain saves where you want them, but that's just me and I know many people have their own preferences. Other things I like to commend on is the characters personalities. Characters such as the two flesh eating clowns is something I would never been able to think of and is actually a new form of personality trait that I've never seen before. I would also be blunt to say that all the characters in this game are very smashable and can be considered under the clarification as "would." But I would have to admit, there are a few things wrong here that are based on my opinion and not others. First, I would like to point out that the save mechanic is severely annoying, if you aren't at a spot where it sends you back to your hotel room or being able to go to your hotel room and your game crashes; you lose all of your progress. Second, the storyline; the storyline was everywhere and I mean everywhere, there wasn't specific things that you had to follow other than what characters are looking for, who they basically are personality wise. The traversal of different areas can also get a little confusing considering that the directions you can go in, aren't that clear to say the least. Here is a summery in points: Pros: Character design and personalities are great Unexpected story twists Good incorporation with trying to help others Dialog was clear and represents the overall look and personality of each character Cons: Save system isn't so good Possible loss of progress if not able to save No specific form of guide to follow while playing (not like a out of game guide like a doc or Youtube video) Traversal mechanics good use some work to be more specific on where you can go, such as "Subtle arrows" to show where you can go Overall, I see potential in bot Amusement Studios and their games. But games are work and nothing is 100% perfect, but I would play this game if your interested in maximized art of both characters and background. Other than that, this game is something I would play if some things were fixed. I hope this review doesn't come off as rude nor offensive to the game devs.
Really cool game. I think it’s more of a point-and-click adventure than just an NSFW novel, which is great. I guess it’s a good step forward for Amusement Studios since they come up with original ideas, and I hope the next part is even cooler. But there are some cons: NSFW animations could be more diverse. The save system might be unfriendly for some; you can lose progress or ruin quests easily. It would be great to have a dialogue history and a skip system for replayability. The RPG system: you can miss a lot of content with the "wrong build" (no spoilers, but you’ll see what I mean once you look at the skills). Also, some choices don't really matter, and different paths feel quite similar. Overall, I definitely think this game is worth it and worth completing 100%.
Story is so good worth every penny.
