Blasters of the Universe is the first of its kind, bringing the bullet hell genre into first person VR. Intense gameplay is heavily reliant on physical movement, requiring the player to duck, dodge, twist, turn, and maneuver their way through tons of enemies and hundreds of bullets.

Bullet hell with your face
This was better than expected. Very fun to play, a bit challenging if you choose so. Some sense of progression due to weapon upgrades. It's great trying out weapon combos to see what works bet in each level. Not great graphics. A bit short but replay-able. Good mix of gaming and physical exercise.

The sole reason i don't recommend this game is it's repetition. I'm sure people like that about this game, but i personally don't. I got 2 hours of millage out of this and never touched it again. It was the first game i used to test my new VR setup, and it was a bland one at that. It's not necessarily a BAD game, it's just not an ADHD and Autism ridden ♥♥♥♥♥'s best friend. It's a first person stationary bullet hell, taking place in a VR arcade game. You're tasked with simply dodging, shooting, and blocking until faced with the boss of the stage. Then just shoot more. This game can be fun for people who are into this, but for me, it's just too much to manage, and too slow paced. Don't take this review to heart. Make your own decision. I'm just making this off of my thoughts.
Убиватор времени! Забавная аркада, попробовать стоит, но только со скидкой 90%!
Play as Dexter of the future, defeat Mandark. You really want a Room-Scale setup to play as I cannot imagine playing this on the higher difficulty in a standing room setting... if there are difficulties, I forget but I pick the highest normally. 3D "Bullet Hells" are nothing like 2D ones.... Challenging, a bit annoying, but refreshing - perhaps because it is VR or perhaps because the physical motion makes one want to keep trying and the difficulty feels within the realm of possibility as it is made for a human body to move around in order to win...
Very good bullet hell style VR game with easy mechanics, a dash of much appreciated humor, and excellent replayability.
Oculus Rift CV1 It's a game with a simple yet nice presentation, graphics, animation, music it's fine overall. The gampeplay is solid and although it's rather a small game there's a lot to experience between your modular gun, your different types of shields and ultimate abilities. The gun in particular has a total of 6 different parts which each affects a specific aspect of your gunplay, ammo type, shooting type, special effects, speed, magazine type etc and combined with the right shield selection it does play a big part in your performance so you'll have to find out for each level what works the best for you. There is a daily challenge but the fat of the meat consists in a campaign of 4 levels which you can play in Casual or Hell difficulty, there is also an endless mode to beat the best score. I only played the campaign in Hell difficulty and could beat it in 7.5 hours, don't get me wrong it is challenging, each time you restarts a level you'll get the same waves of ennemies but the patterns will slightly differ just enough to keep you on your toes so you can't prefire everything that comes at you or dodge every bullets like if you already knew "how to dance". Considering the VR Arcade FPS genre, it has one of the best intensity / comfort ratio, meaning that your head will go scracth the floor to dodge bullets from time to time and sometimes you'll be surprised and react violently to dodge but you won't sweat like a sponge in your VR Helmet. Yes it is a small game but it's a very good one I fully enjoyed it, it was great. The only thing that's really lame is the Steam Achievment list, for once I wish I had something that shows that I beat the game in Hell mode because that was a real feat, I put a lot of energy to beat it. I beat it in hell but I know there's still a big margin between my achievment and what can be done to top the scoreboard, I have not really forced myself to try every combination of gun module+shields+ultimate possible there probably is some OP build hidden in there.
I can't recommend this game. It feels very slow-paced, I seem to be waiting for things to happen a lot, or I'm shooting and waiting to see what my shots do, while waiting for enemy shots to start getting to me. And because of the waiting, everything seems to just... miss. It's just... wierd... way off... and I don't like it. If the game's actual play was sped up, easy recommend. Maybe I'm missing something.
Quit after 5 minutes. Boring. Projectiles are slow. Lack of particles/feedback.
