About
Become a master blacksmith who owns and develops a full-fledged forge! In your smithing fortress, there are various rooms of different types at your disposal, such as the mines, smithing room, tavern, shop, or battle-preparation chamber.
Collect various metal ores in the mines. Smelt them in your furnace to get alloys with special effects. Then it’s time for some proper smithing! Take your hamer and hit the alloy during a special minigame to reshape and forge it into a powerful weapon. Harness rune magic to enhance it with even more special affixes. Depending on the precision of your work, weapons will be of different qualities. And the better their quality, the more effective (and deadlier) they are.
To put your weapons to good use, assemble a team of mercenaries and arm them with your creations. Adventurers have different combat skills that support various playstyles and enhance team building. As your companions also possess different statistics, make sure to equip them with the right weapon type to maximize their potential.
Once the arrangements are ready, it’s time to send your team on missions to save the land from chaos! When your mercenaries embark on quests, they engage enemies in auto-battler-type combat, so the pre-battle preparations will be crucial to succeed. Expect to face both regular opponents, as well as unique and dangerous bosses. Each victory grants experience and makes your team even stronger. But be careful—if any of your warriors fall in combat, you will lose them and their gear forever!
During expeditions, you gather valuable loot such as gold and metal ores, and receive special rewards, including new weapon templates. Use that to expand and develop your forge, buy new materials in the shop, craft even more various weapons, and bring your smithing skills to perfection! You can also test your craft during the daily blacksmithing challenges, which require extra attention to detail. Complete them to get gold and precious resources. Remember, the better smith you become, the higher the chances of your team being victorious!
Every day, the forces of evil grow in strength, making the enemies you encounter more threatening. Each victory gives your province some extra time to survive and prepare for the final encounter with chaos incarnate. Mastering your smithing skills, good resource management, and thoughtful team-building strategy will be crucial to being victorious and saving the world from annihilation!
Blacksmith, do you have what it takes to save the world? The fate is in your hands (or in your hammer)!

Contexte : 7 presque 8 longues heures.
No Dwarves of Colour, 11/10, thank you for not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on my cultural heritage by shoehorning black people into a setting inspired by Norse Mythology. Yes, it's a low bar, but we have to start somewhere.

Great game! Keep it up! 100%'d in approx 6 hrs
Short but great
I love this game but is too short... Its only 7 hours T-T... I dont know how I achive platinum. Background music in menu is my love at first sight.
Picked up this game on a whim, needing a smithing game with substance. Thought I would be put off by the simple graphics and refund it after 30 minutes. I stopped playing 4 hours later completely satisfied. So satisfied that I'm writing this recommendation.
Blacksmith: Ignite the Forge, developed by Floodgate Crew and published by Awaken Realms, is a fantasy crafting and strategy game that places players in the role of a master weaponsmith whose work directly shapes the outcome of battles across a troubled land. Rather than controlling heroes on the battlefield, the game shifts the focus to the forge itself, turning the act of crafting weapons into the central mechanic that drives progression. The concept blends elements of crafting simulation, resource management, and auto-battler strategy, creating a gameplay loop where the success of warriors depends entirely on the quality of the weapons you create. This approach gives the game a distinctive identity among fantasy strategy titles, emphasizing preparation and craftsmanship instead of direct combat. The game begins with the player inheriting a modest forge that serves as the headquarters for all operations. From this base, players must gather raw materials, refine metals, craft weapons, and equip adventurers who venture into dangerous territories. The forge gradually expands as new rooms and facilities become available, transforming the initial workshop into a bustling stronghold of industry. Mines provide ore, smelting stations process metals into usable ingots, and specialized crafting areas allow players to shape those materials into powerful weapons. Managing these interconnected spaces becomes an important part of the experience, as improving the forge’s infrastructure directly affects the quality and variety of items that can be produced. The forging system itself is one of the game’s most engaging aspects. Instead of crafting weapons through simple menu selections, players actively participate in the smithing process through interactive forging sequences. Heating metal in the furnace, striking it on the anvil, and shaping it correctly all contribute to the final quality of the weapon. Timing and precision play an important role in these sequences, as well-placed hammer strikes produce stronger equipment while poorly executed attempts may result in weaker gear. This interactive approach makes crafting feel tangible and rewarding, capturing the fantasy of being a skilled artisan shaping powerful weapons from raw metal. Adding further depth to the crafting system is the use of alloys and magical enhancements. Different metals can be combined to produce alloys with unique properties, affecting weapon durability, strength, or other combat attributes. Beyond this, players can embed runes into their creations to grant special abilities. These runes might increase damage, add elemental effects, or provide other tactical advantages for the warriors who wield the weapons. Experimenting with combinations of materials and enchantments becomes a key part of the game’s strategic layer, allowing players to create equipment tailored to specific combat scenarios. Once weapons are completed, they are assigned to mercenaries and adventurers who carry them into battle. The game features a roster of warriors, each possessing unique attributes and combat roles. Choosing which weapon to give to each character becomes a critical decision, as certain equipment types complement particular fighting styles. Heavy weapons may suit strong frontline fighters, while lighter blades might benefit agile combatants who rely on speed. This equipment synergy encourages players to think carefully about how their crafted items interact with the abilities of their team. Combat itself unfolds through an auto-battler system. Rather than directly controlling characters during fights, players prepare their team beforehand by crafting weapons, assigning gear, and selecting which warriors will embark on missions. Once a battle begins, it plays out automatically, with success determined by the strength of the equipment and the composition of the team. This design reinforces the importance of preparation, making the forging process feel meaningful because each weapon directly influences the outcome of the fight. The campaign is structured around multiple acts filled with missions and boss encounters. As players progress, new materials, weapon blueprints, and upgrades become available, expanding the possibilities within the forge. Each new resource introduces additional experimentation, encouraging players to refine their crafting strategies. The increasing difficulty of enemies ensures that players must continually improve their weapons and optimize their teams to keep up with the challenges ahead. Visually, the game presents a stylized fantasy world centered around the atmosphere of a dwarven forge. Workshops glow with the light of roaring furnaces, anvils spark with each hammer strike, and the overall environment conveys the sense of a hardworking smithy constantly producing weapons for the war effort. The art direction leans into classic fantasy imagery, creating a setting that feels both rugged and magical. While the graphical detail is modest compared to large-scale modern RPGs, the visual design effectively supports the theme of craftsmanship and industry. The audio design also reinforces the blacksmithing atmosphere. The rhythmic clang of hammer on metal, the roar of furnace fires, and the hiss of cooling steel create a satisfying soundscape that accompanies the forging process. These audio cues help make each crafting session feel tactile and immersive. Background music tends to remain subtle, allowing the sounds of the forge itself to dominate the experience. Despite its creative concept, the game does have some rough edges. Certain mechanics—particularly rune combinations and advanced crafting options—are not always clearly explained, which can make the learning process slightly confusing for new players. Inventory management and interface navigation can occasionally feel cumbersome as the forge grows more complex. Additionally, the core gameplay loop of crafting weapons and sending warriors into auto-battles may start to feel repetitive during extended play sessions. Even with these shortcomings, Blacksmith: Ignite the Forge stands out as a refreshing take on fantasy strategy. By focusing on the role of the artisan rather than the warrior, the game offers a unique perspective within the genre. Crafting becomes more than just a supporting mechanic—it is the central pillar that determines victory or defeat. For players who enjoy resource management, crafting experimentation, and strategic preparation, the game provides a satisfying progression system that rewards creativity and careful planning. Ultimately, Blacksmith: Ignite the Forge succeeds in delivering an engaging blend of crafting simulation and tactical strategy. Its interactive forging mechanics and emphasis on weapon creation give the experience a distinctive identity, even if the overall structure occasionally shows signs of repetition. For fans of fantasy management games and crafting-focused gameplay, it offers a compelling opportunity to step into the role of the kingdom’s most important artisan. Rating: 7/10
