Tiny Trek a is procedurally generated space adventure that included scanning, diplomacy, away missions, space battles and so forth. Designing ships to use on your adventure is fun and plenty of options for customization. Really gives you the nostalgic feeling of playing classic DOS games, but with modern features. As you are playing you can feel the Star Trek inspirations as you discover new planets and races. I really liked that not every interaction with a new race was hostile. Was nice not knowing what to expect as you were arriving on a new planet. Looking forward to watching this on grow out of early access.
A very fun indie game to pass the time especially offline, however there are a few things that would be nice to see: A: more away team options like finding chests, attacking enemy spaceships from the inside, etc... B: more customization maybe being able to add more blocks than the default, and a customizable game but overall, an AMAZING GAME 20/10 i highly reccomend buying this game
Still very rough. Some screens don't have all their controls labeled, so you have no idea how to make choices. Probably going to wait another year to try it again.
I can't believe I bought this game, what a waste of money, what the hell was I thinking, its absolutely horrible
I want to like this game. I really do. But it is so damn buggy! Also the lack of tutorial doesn't help it. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. As soon as the bugs are patched and better tutorials (like tooltips or something), I will recommend this game. EDIT: Okay, I see the game has updated a bit, ditching the name Tiny Trek for Bit Odyssey. My main problem now is the low detail. I'm all for pixels, but this is just too low resolution. I can hardly tell what I'm reading. And the bugs too. Sometimes there is no dialogue in the dialogue boxes, the Xbox controller seldom works well, and just general wierd game-breaking glitches. And I still don't understand the game. Seriously guys, screw the tutorial. Make a manual or something. For this game to be good, it needs SERIOUS work. But good luck guys, I hope this game turns out well. And the soundtrack is awesome. Good job, DaVince!
=P its awesome get it!
fun so far hope for it to it have more content but this is a good start. i think a fleet would be nice so you can call for back up. and some thing so you can trade crew or ship parts. maybe basic ship parts to make the ship better. but this is very much going the way it should.
UPDATE: This game seems to have been abandoned. As a Kickstarter backer I am let down. I dont even feel the need to write more than this. Original: Good game. Annoying sounds (which is the point, I know)
A really fun exploring game with amazing retro graphics. I did miss a tutorial though. Also making shift the default action control isnt smart cause i'll get the stickykeys popup every now and then. Overal I see potential in this game and looking forward to see the end result. I've got this game from WGN.
"Can anyone remember when we used to be explorers?" - Jean Luc Picard Well he would like this game with its mix of exploration, combat and peaceful aliens who dont always require shooting in the face! In this respect it feels more faithful to star trek than many official star trek games. Its a shame about the recent name change as Tiny Trek summed it up perfectly.
