you play as a lone survivor of a plane crash caused by a dragon after the plane you are on for a vacation accidentally flew through a portal to another world. waking on the island, you quickly found out that every species has a female human hybrid version.(one each. that's all. you will find out the reason why about mid game.) throughout the game, you will have to construct buildings and craft items and equipment to survive. this game can be quite brutal at times. make sure to collect every resources before proceeding with the game at every stage as certain items are limited till late game and if you missed some items, you might find yourself softlocked due to the fact that the enemies are too strong without upgrade. i found out about this the hard way when i didn't collect some large stones so i didn't have enough to upgrade the house to a mansion. without the mansion, i can't build the blacksmith forge, which means no iron equipment. the path to the large stones are blocked by a boss by the time i'm told to upgrade the house, which means i'm literally f**ked and had to start all over again. combat can be a bit challenging as you have very limited amount of items to use. (1-3 items each. mostly just 1.) h-scenes are not paced out evenly. you go through half the game without any actions and suddenly, boom, boom, boom. the girls are lining up to do you back to back. this game is quite the experience, not quite what i'm used to playing. the gameplay is just under 3 hrs, if you know what you are doing. but there is not much in terms of replayability. after the game ends, you are locked in the cg room where you can view all cgs and h-scenes. for the price point, it is acceptable, especially since i bought it on a sale. the game does have its quirks.although i didn't encounter any of the bugs mentioned in the discussions forum, i did encountered a crash and a situation where a tree i was chopping would not fall. but that was fixed by exiting the area and re-entering. overall, i'll say that this game is a keeper.

The CGs are static but beautifully drawn, with some characters achieving quasi-dynamic effects through CG switching, which performs well. It features the classic progression of upgrading equipment to take on challenges and unlock the next stages. The female characters are distinct, making it easy to find one that suits your preferences. The only downside is the lack of alternative endings, such as everyone staying on the island or leaving together.

A solid RPG maker hentai game with good artwork and an alright story where no one is the bad guy. The whole game is short but has a good pace that never leaves you too strong or weak for each new battle. Each new area you unlock gets you just far enough to make new equipment while each new equipment gives you more options for the next fights which in turn let you unlock new areas. While the battling is just standard rpg battles the need for random items just to barely scrape by is a nice touch especially in the early segments. Unfortunately some battles get mega annoying because most enemies have a way to just stun lock indefinitely and you can do nothing to avoid it besides getting lucky. Beyond the Portal is a solid game and was fun to play through I just wish there were more animations for the scenes.

Sometimes You Can't Carry More Than One Items Forcing You To Take Strategy Very Seriously Though Strategy Is Fruitless When You Have Enemies Stun Lock You To Death Hell They Also Have Combo Attacks That'll Waste Your Healing Items ( This Game Seriously Needs A Indicator For When An Enemy Is About To Use A Powerful Attack Or Combo Attack ). You Can't Consistently Train At The Dojo Cause Resting Doesn't Let You Train At The Dojo Right Away You Actually Have To Wait Till A Message Pops Up Saying Dojo Ready ( I Hate Waiting I'm So Used To Getting Things Done Fast ). I Like The One H Animation With The Dark Elf Girl But I Also Notice That The Other Girls Don't Get Any H Animations Which Is A Letdown. 1: Let Us Level Up And Gain Points To Spend On Stats Like Health, Mana, Attack, Defense, Magic Attack, Magic Defense And Speed. I Would Like Classes/Roles Like Warrior, Tanks, Assassin, Mage And Healer But You Are A Character That Just Got Sent To This World So You Have To Work Slowly For The Role You Want. ( Don't Mean Make Level Up Slow I Wanna Level Up Faster So I Can Make Progress In The Game ). 2: Give Us Allies Like The Bunny Girl From The Beginning With Their Own Class/Role. 3: Allow Us To Learn Magic From The Witch Girl So We Have Spells That Is Super Effective Against The Enemies We Fight. 4: Improve H Scenes And H Animations Giving All Girls Good H Animation Like The Dark Elf. 5: Add More To Crafting Also Allow Us Build A Place To Do Blacksmithing Instead Of Waiting To Upgrade The House Into A Mansion For Us To Make Weapons And Armor. Also We Can Just Do Alchemy At The Witch Girls Place Or Build A Alchemy Place. 6: Add Endowment Potion Which Permanently Increase Breast And Butt Sizes As Well As Endowment Down Potion To Permanently Reduce Breast And Butt Sizes. 7: Add Pregnancy So We Can Have Children Whether It Be Bunny Child, Wolf Child, Dark Elf Child Any Child And They Will Be Helping Us Get Resources So It's Less Tedious And Grindy.
