i love rhythm and puzzle games, but this is boring
리듬게임과 테트리스 모두 좋아하고 잘하는 편이지만 이 게임 만큼은 어려웠다
As a lover of rhythm games and tetris, the existence of this game makes me very happy
This game has a lot of great ideas. although the blocks sometimes move far too fast for the janky controls, which means I lose a level before I even know what happened. It has so much potential, but it's not quite there yet. considering how cheap it is, though, i recommend it.
meh
This game.... THIS game... So everyone knows what Tetris is. You drop and rotate different shapes in the hopes to fill in and clear rows before the shapes reach the top of the stage. So what sets BEATris apart from being another Tetris clone? It's Tetris, powered by your music. You're going to have fun trying to clear rows, all while trying to keep up with the rythm of each song, while also dealing with stage scroll, as well as garbage blocks coming up at different intervals. You can't come up with a single strategy for each song, which forces you to keep thinking on your feet, providing a nice challenge. The level editor could use some work, as the developers drop you straight in without giving you a tutorial on how the editor works, and there are very few shortcuts incorporated as well, but other than that, with Steam Workshop being incorporated, this game will push you to keep going "one more song"....
Just got this game through the Rhythmfest. I haven't played a lot of it as of writhing it, but it's already clear to me that it's a shame this game doesn't have more eyes on it. I wish I had seen it sooner. I love Tetris and block games on average, and this is an interesting spin on the formula. Lining up your blocks to the beat, the stage scrolling up and down or side-to-side, blocks pushing blocks, a bonus meter that affects the gameplay. It's all really cool ideas and it plays together really well as you wrap your head around it. The music is really catchy and feels familiar even though it's all new to me, and I'd actually consider paying for the soundtrack if it was available. On the accessibility side of things, I LOVE the visual presentation. Everything is distinct, easy to read, and leaves no real room for confusion once you've played a few rounds,. I do wish there was more options for controls, or controller support, but I won't harp on that too much for such a small, inexpensive game. While I don't think this is a game that I'll spend hours at a time on, I can easily see picking it up for a song or two a few times a week. If it did have controller support, I'd even take it as a portable game on my Steam Deck while commuting since I don't drive. Even without that, I recommend the game for just about anyone to try!
