Recommended 👍 Battlefield 4 improves on Battlefield 3 in many ways, especially the gameplay. The gun handling feels smoother, movement is more polished, and combat is satisfying from start to finish. Every firefight feels intense, and the action never slows down for too long. The campaign is filled with cinematic moments and impressive set pieces that make you feel like you're part of a military action movie. Even after all these years, the visuals and sound design still hold up well. My only criticism is the story. While it's enjoyable and keeps you engaged, I felt Battlefield 3 had a stronger and more memorable narrative. Battlefield 4 shines more through its gameplay than its storytelling. If you enjoy single-player military shooters with excellent gunplay, polished gameplay, and cinematic action, Battlefield 4 is definitely worth playing. My rating: 8/10.

It's 2026, and this is now a nostalgia game with a small but dedicated playerbase — which is a downside, but also, of course, the very thing keeping it alive. You have to accept that you won't experience this game at its fullest, as it all comes down to the preferences of a very dedicated playerbase that sticks to a very strict pool of maps. There's a high chance you'll sometimes get kicked from servers, or end up playing with just a couple of people. I'd highly advise thinking twice about buying this game in this day and age, when everything comes down to "we can turn off the servers at any given time." Buy it only if the discount is high enough!
