This is a good tower defence game.
i love TD games this is fun.
The difficulty system in this game is absolutely broken, being there only 2~3 /99999999 possible scenarios in which you complete a level with 3 stars. For everything else, it is a great game for its price (bought it for two bucks and a half).
Battle of Kings is a strategy and defense title developed by Battle of Kings Team and Wenkly Studio Sp. z o.o., with publishing handled by Wenkly Studio Sp. z o.o. The game blends traditional tower defense mechanics with kingdom development and battlefield management systems, creating an experience that asks players to think beyond simply placing defenses and surviving enemy attacks. Instead of focusing entirely on reactive gameplay, Battle of Kings encourages long-term planning by combining military growth, economic management, and strategic positioning into a broader kingdom-building formula. At its core, the game places players in control of a kingdom facing repeated enemy invasions. Defending territory remains a major objective, but maintaining survival alone is not enough. Expanding military strength, improving economic production, and preparing for future threats become equally important responsibilities. The result creates a gameplay loop that feels larger than a standard defense game while remaining approachable for players who enjoy accessible strategy experiences. Tower placement serves as one of the game’s central mechanics. Players gain access to multiple defensive structures that can be positioned according to personal strategy and battlefield requirements. Enemy attacks gradually become more dangerous, making thoughtful placement decisions increasingly important over time. Strong defenses provide security early, but long-term success requires adapting to stronger enemy pressure and understanding how different defensive systems complement one another. Upgrade systems strengthen strategic depth by giving players opportunities to improve defenses rather than relying entirely on starting structures. Deciding when to strengthen towers and determining which upgrades deserve priority becomes an important part of maintaining battlefield control. These decisions create satisfying moments where careful preparation directly influences survival. One of Battle of Kings’ more interesting additions comes through its economic systems. Resource production and financial development play major roles throughout progression, giving players responsibilities beyond direct combat management. Stronger economies support military expansion and improved defenses, creating meaningful connections between infrastructure planning and battlefield success. The inclusion of resource management adds another layer of strategy that helps separate the game from simpler tower defense formulas. Military growth further expands gameplay possibilities. Players gradually strengthen forces capable of supporting defensive operations and contributing more actively to larger conflicts. Building stronger armies introduces additional planning considerations because resources must be balanced carefully between defense, expansion, and military development. The combination creates a more layered strategy experience than games built entirely around static defense systems. Progression remains one of the title’s stronger qualities. Campaign content introduces systems gradually before increasing complexity over time. Early scenarios help establish fundamentals while later stages demand stronger planning and better resource efficiency. Difficulty increases feel tied to strategic growth rather than relying purely on overwhelming enemy numbers. Battle-focused gameplay modes also help strengthen replayability by creating situations where offense becomes increasingly important alongside defense. Rather than only protecting territory, players gain opportunities to pressure opposing forces and pursue broader control of the battlefield. That additional flexibility helps combat avoid becoming overly repetitive during longer sessions. Online multiplayer introduces another welcome dimension. Competing against human opponents naturally creates greater unpredictability because strategies constantly evolve and adaptation becomes more important. Multiplayer encourages experimentation while rewarding stronger understanding of systems and battlefield management. Visually, Battle of Kings favors clarity and functionality over technical spectacle. Information remains easy to interpret during combat situations, and battlefield readability supports strategic decision-making effectively. The presentation does not pursue visual complexity for its own sake, instead prioritizing usability and maintaining focus on gameplay systems. The game does reveal limitations depending on expectations. Players seeking highly detailed grand strategy mechanics or deep simulation systems may find certain elements streamlined. Battle of Kings intentionally balances accessibility with strategy depth, which occasionally means sacrificing complexity in favor of smoother pacing. Long-term enjoyment also depends heavily on connecting with the hybrid design approach. The game combines multiple strategic systems rather than specializing entirely in one area, which may appeal strongly to some players while feeling less focused to others. However, Battle of Kings succeeds because it understands the appeal of layered strategy design without becoming overwhelming. The balance between resource management, defense planning, and military growth creates a satisfying progression structure that rewards thoughtful decisions and long-term preparation. For players who enjoy tower defense concepts but want additional strategic responsibilities beyond simply surviving enemy waves, Battle of Kings offers an engaging experience that successfully expands familiar mechanics into something broader. While it may not reach the complexity of larger strategy franchises, it delivers enough tactical depth and progression variety to remain consistently entertaining. Rating: 7/10
