Вот я не особо люблю играть в хентай-игры, которые выходили в Steam до 2019 года, потому что перед игрой у вас всегда будет какой-то геморрой с контентом 18+. Естественно, что 90% всех обзоров на эту игру написаны в 2017/18 году, когда DLC18+ было доступно всем (отсюда у игры и “очень положительные” отзывы). Но после 2019 года (когда разработчики с кем-то объединились или поменяли студию) все их DLC18+ удалились. И начиная с 2019 года, их оценка со 100% начала немного сползать. Но так как игра не особо популярная, то оценки сползают очень медленно. Так как это в первую очередь хентай-игра, то без хентай-контента в этой новелле будет вырезано примерно 20-30% сюжета и прочих приблуд (а может и больше). Эта новелла с выбором, так что каждый ваш выбор влияет на то, на какой рут вы будете выходить. Концовок в игре много, и все концовки самостоятельно пройти довольно сложно. Хорошо, что в руководствах есть способ, как получить все ачивки и выйти на все концовки. Если не особо часто прибегать к “скипу”, то один рут занимает примерно 4 часа. А вот если у вас отсутствует знание английского, то игру можно проскипать минут за 15. Я добавил эту игру в свой список желаемого только из-за красивого визуала и контента 18+. Но, увы, играть пришлось без второго. Если бы я знал, что DLC18+ не существует с 2019 года, то я бы игру в свой список желаемого не добавлял. И очень странно, что проблемы у всех возникли именно с этой игрой. Потому что в других играх от разработчиков скачать контент 18+ не проблема. Новелла-то мне понравилась… Но вот отсутствие контента 18+ естественно потянуло положительную оценку вниз. Из минусов: -Много вырезанного контента -Отсутствует DLC18+ -Разработчик не отвечает на обсуждения с 2019ого года -Нету голых девочек Из плюсов: +Карточки +Красивый визуал +Достижения Игру не рекомендую к покупке! The entire game consists of clicking through dialogue screens, sometimes making choices that will impact the story going forward. Even the mech battles are only that: you’ll have to select the right combat tactic three times in a dialogue menu to win a battle. [b]STORY[/b] You play as Takiro, a handsome country boy, who has been selected by his (unnamed) home country to represent them in the ‘New War’ - an international competition using piloted battle robots fighting in arena’s. Arriving at the institute, you’re paired with three female co-pilots. As you gear up to defend your country, you’ll also have the opportunity to date your co-pilots, your mechanic or even the head of the institute. There are 3 different endings for the main story available, as well as 9 different endings based on your romantic choices. [b]QUALITY[/b] As visual novels go, it’s OK: everything works as it should and there is some challenge to be had in achieving all of the different endings. It’s hardly a 2D battle game however, or a game at all. Writing is decent enough and even funny at times, albeit fairly minimalistic. The game is also short: [spoiler]an intro, five days with a battle and a date with your pilot afterwards, a final battle and an epilogue[/spoiler]. A single playthrough won’t take you more than half an hour. [h1]THE GOODS[/h1] [b]SUBJECT[/b] As is customary in a dating sim, the lewd in Battle Girls involves your sexual adventures with the 5 different love interests in the game. All scenes are vanilla-ish and consensual. Keywords: [spoiler]big breasts, straight, group[/spoiler] [b]CONTENT[/b] 35 static CG scenes. [b]ACCESS[/b] You unlock scenes by picking the right answers in the right order during the dialogue. Unlocking them all will require you to play the game several times, and/or save/load at key decision points. After seeing them once, scenes remain available in a gallery on the title screen. [b]QUALITY[/b] The quality of the lewd is OK. Images are high-res and the art style isn’t too bad. Many images feel a bit off though, possibly because the artist seems to have some trouble getting lighting/shade right. [h1]VERRO’S VERDICT[/h1] Don’t buy Battle Girls if you’re looking for a 2D battle game; it clearly isn’t that. For this fake advertising, I’m not recommending it. As a visual novel/dating sim, it meets the bar, but only just so. The devs clearly know how to cater to their audience, but they didn’t put a lot of love into this product. First off, if I could give this a mixed review, I would. This is a fun visual novel, despite being fairly short. The characters are likeable, the mech battles are fun, and it was a treat to play through each route. The problems arise when it comes to the technical details. Things like typos are almost inevitable in any visual novel, but the given the relative shortness of this game, there seem to be just a few too many to be given a pass. Also, sometimes the text references something else (meeting someone in your room and the text says you hug in the mech suit, which clearly isn't happening). Finally, the character images and backgrounds are sometimes off. If you screw up in a fight, your companion's outfit will get a little damaged, but if you choose correctly, sometimes it will show them as damaged and a few seconds later in the fight their outfit will be undamaged again. In one fight, the background image of the enemy mech actually changed to that of a different mech for a few lines then swapped back. For the length of the game and the price, the amount of technical issues I noticed just really started to add up and detracted from the overall experience. This is absolutely worth picking up on a sale, but otherwise, the lack of polish really puts a damper on the game.

I just randomly downloaded this "game" because I saw the combo of cute cartoon girls and mechs. Well, it turns out it's not even a game. It's just a series of pictures and some text. You don't actually play anything. This is as much garbage as it can get.
