Better than SoT

[h1]Before I played Batterneers, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good[/h1]

This is a very simple pirate game with 3 modes and minimalist graphics. Music is acceptable in quality. Map is way too small. Controls are responsive but feel more like you're controlling an RC car from an 8- or 16-bit title than a pirate ship. There are no bots or an obvious way to host a dedicated server. Player counts are so extremely low that you must bring your own friends to make this game worthwhile. For an occasional casual game, it's of acceptable quality and quite a bit of fun, but if you don't have friends to bring along or want a long-term game to invest time into, I suggest going with a different offering. Batterneers is an exciting, action-packed game for up to 4 players. Fight across a number of different maps and game modes using a range of abilities and powerups. Do note that as of now, Batterneers only supports online and LAN multiplayer. Local multiplayer is currently not available. Battle Across a Range of Different Game Modes Deathmatch - Fight to be the last one standing with the highest score in this classic game mode. Gem Chase - Hold onto the precious gem for as long as you can while avoiding your fellow players. Treasure Hunt - Collect the most treasure to win the game! But watch out, as other players can try to sabotage you. Choose Your Approach to Combat Cannons - In order to be the best, you'll need to learn how to fire your cannons, calculate the trajectory and use a range of unique powerups to your advantage. These include tracking balls, boomerangs, summoning the kraken, sun beams, explosives and more! Bombs - The most dangerous weapon in Batterneers. Bombs can be picked up and thrown at pursuing enemies, but watch out as just one rogue cannon ball can make everything go wrong. Ship - Using the right powerups, your ship can be as deadly as any weapon in the game. Spikes, ocean swirls and rapid reloading will make anyone run away in fear.

Аркадная спортивная игра с элементами RPG: игроки управляют командами антропоморфных существ и соревнуются в динамичных матчах, напоминающих смесь бейсбола и регби. Акцент на весёлых командных сражениях, прокачке персонажей и разнообразных аренах. Плюсы: Динамичные матчи — короткие игровые сессии (5–10 минут) с высокой интенсивностью: постоянно нужно реагировать на действия соперников и менять тактику; Прокачка персонажей — после матчей можно улучшать навыки игроков (скорость, сила удара, выносливость), что даёт ощущение прогресса и позволяет адаптировать стиль игры; Яркие и забавные персонажи — разнообразные виды существ (животные, фантастические создания) с уникальным дизайном добавляют игре харизмы и делают каждую команду узнаваемой. Минусы: Ограниченное число арен — доступных полей для матчей немного, а визуальные различия между ними невелики, из‑за чего окружение быстро приедается; Случайные факторы в геймплее — иногда исход матча зависит от непредсказуемых отскоков мяча или мелких багов физики, что может раздражать при серьёзных противостояниях; Слабый ИИ в одиночной игре — противники на средних уровнях сложности действуют шаблонно, не создавая настоящего вызова; для увлекательной игры почти обязателен мультиплеер. Итог: подойдёт любителям аркадных спортивных игр и весёлых мультиплеерных баталий — радует динамикой, возможностью прокачки и колоритными персонажами. Может разочаровать из‑за небольшого выбора арен, влияния случайности на результат и недостаточно умного ИИ в одиночном режиме.
