It's two quid and gives you about ninety minutes of entertainment - better value than the movies. It's short and might give you a chuckle. Buy it, or don't. It's your decision.
Now a wanna play a good old pen&paper again... Thanks, i liked it!
If i wanted to listen to people argue at the table to the point where we're barely getting a dice roll or actual play every 15 or so minutes, I'd call up my ex and see if he wanted to run a game. Since I don't want any of this, this was a pretty easy refund and definitely a waste of my time. Thankfully, it was a whopping $2, but it wasn't worth even that.
This was such a lovely little game. I know the desciption says it's a DnD parody but honestly, it felt like most sessions I've played with my group - with the chaos of the players, doing something the DM never expected you to do, player in-fighting and having to deal with That Guy, the pop culture references and all. It was so so good. My only negative in a way was that the character we, the players, control is a bit passive and I wish they could have taken more of a part in all the discussions. But then again I guess you can explain the passive attitude with
how this is their first session with this group
.
i like B&M.
Short playthrough, but really worth it's price. Basements n' Basilisks is a narrative game with multiple outcomes, based in a parodic DnD setup. It's really well written, with interesting characters and plot-twist, and a generous amount of banter. One playthrough is one to two hours long, depending on how fast you read and how ridiculous your choices are. The graphical and audio aspects are solid, if not worth of any special mention. It's way worth it's price tag even without any sale going on ! I recommend it for people interested in narrative games or with previous experience in TTRPG. Have fun !
Small little gem. Quite fun to enjoy.
Good game with a humorous story telling. Met one of the devs and they are quite nice and funny. Recommended
Apenas tomas decisiones. Y no se sienten muy importantes tampoco. Decepcionado.
