Barista: Take Away

El juego, en esencia, intenta capturar la magia del oficio de un barista, pero queda a medio camino. Aunque promete una experiencia inmersiva en la preparación de bebidas, lo cierto es que se limita a la mecánica de ensamblar recetas, dejando de lado aspectos importantes como la interacción con clientes o el ambiente que hace especial trabajar en una cafetería. El control y las mecánicas se sienten algo toscos, lo cual puede ser comprensible dado que el proyecto parece provenir de un equipo pequeño. A pesar de estas limitaciones, es evidente que detrás del desarrollo hay un esfuerzo sincero por ofrecer un producto funcional y, al mismo tiempo, cumplir con su propósito secundario: promover una marca o distribuidora de café real. Si bien este enfoque puede restarle autenticidad a la experiencia, el juego tiene su encanto para quienes disfrutan de simulaciones casuales y desean aprender algo sobre la preparación de bebidas. Sin embargo, quienes busquen una verdadera inmersión en la vida de un barista podrían sentir que este título se queda corto. En resumen, es un juego con buenas intenciones, pero que no logra replicar completamente el mundo del barista, quedándose más como un escaparate para el café que una simulación auténtica. Es lindo y es gratis así que está bastante bien.

I wanted to start off by saying to change the language it's the icon in the bottom right corner - I hope this helps from people leaving bad reviews because they couldn't figure out how to change the language. To be fair, it's not obvious. I wouldn't say this is a calm game since there is that stress of making sure to get the orders right, but it is fun experimenting to see what the customer means. I could see coffee enthusiasts liking this a bit more for that reason. I want to say I think the "House Blend" is the black coffee if hints of other flavors aren't requested. I also found that the blends with fruit tended to be more "bitter" so that may help as well. I think with a short tutorial, or perhaps starting out with less blends might make new players a bit less overwhelmed starting out and leading or leveling up to harder and/or more drinks. Also, I wasn't quite sure if I met the goals or not. It would end and then ask if I wanted to retry which I did a few times. Perhaps I'm just not doing well enough, or missed something somewhere. Overall, I think that it's a fun and cute coffee themed game. I think it's pretty great considering it's free and doesn't have any paywalls which have become so common these days. Despite some of the bad reviews, I would recommend just giving it a try. It's true that it isn't the easiest game starting off, but I found that to be part of the fun.

it needs levels, you finish and the only option is to replay. theres no risk, no reward, nothing to aim for. boring.
