Barely Racing

Singleplayer: It has a simple but very effective campaign that's light on story but heavy on the racing action. In between the races you can spend the earned money to upgrade your car or buy a new one so it has a nice progression system too. The enemy AI is superb so it can offer a real challenge on difficulties above Easy, which is something that has caught me off guard, and I enjoyed struggling to beat the AI very much. Multiplayer: I feel like this is where the game really shines, and it's very cheap so it's not a problem to get a few friends to participate in a variety of game modes that are offered here (and the not-strictly-racing ones are, I'd say, even more fun with friends than plain ol' racing). Other: The game's vibe reminds me very much of Ex Machina (or Hard Truck: Apocalypse, depending on where you bought it), which can only be a good thing, it's one of the favourite games of my childhood. Barely Racing is excellently optimized, it will run on almost anything. I also saw no bugs in it. Overall, if you like fighting-racing games such as Twisted Metal or Ex Machina, or movies like Death Race, this one is a good buy.

Cool game! Reminds me of the Micro Machines but with slightly more realistic driving

Fantastic throwback to early 90s and those little cars we used to play on Amiga and Amstrad CPC464 and Atari. Pure pleasure.

Fun game with a lot of different multiplayer modes. I've enjoyed the most plating Mine Tag and Flag Chase.

Barely Racing is all about blasting your buddies with rockets and laughing as you cross the finish line first (maybe). Tag mode is pure fun! Simple, addictive gameplay and a synthwave soundtrack keep the chaos pumping. Perfect for quick bursts of chaotic fun with your crew. For: Arcade racing fans and anyone who enjoys laughing at their friends (and themselves). Not for: Long-campaign enthusiasts.

Fun game, especially multiplayer modes like Mine Tag and Flag Chase.

sorry but it's way too underwhelming...I can see what it wants to be but it is not even halfway there. The tracks are very small and our cars are so slidey for no reason. You are incentivized to destroy your opponents but it takes forever and a half to kill them. For a game that is based on fast races and such, you barely need to shoot them. Just win a bunch of races in a row and you'll have the money needed to beat the game in a few tries of the cups.

Death race nostalgia... I loved it... I'd keep it but physics of rubber bands is killing it. I really tried but being bounced half the track while going 10kmh or being stopped and reveresed randomly on turns is ridicoulous. It really need more love before being published.
