This was more of a rollercoaster ride than anything but, amazingly it contained everything most vr games miss, immersion. I was entranced by the horror atmosphere and had some good scares (there are jumpscares, but i primarily am focusing on the atmosphere parts). It was a bit short of 3 hours of gameplay (18/20 achievements on first playthrough). But im looking forward to the sequel! Highly recommend

absolutely terrifying and amazing to play 10-10
I enjoyed it and would recommend it, especially if you have bHaptics equipment. I have the bHaptics vest and arms so I loved the extra immersion that the haptic feedback added to the experience. Having that feature made this game so much more frightening and enjoyable. The graphics, environment, enemies, and scary elements and events made this an enjoyable ride. I also really liked the AI artwork you had in the game, it's refreshing to see the technology used this way. I am looking forward to their playing future games. As of 2023/10/1: If you reposition your head while outside of the game or change it while it's starting up it'll sometimes put the camera position out of playable space. I noticed that if I have the game paused and put the headset down or on standby, and then return to the game, the camera position goes out of the play space. This is mainly an issue at the start of the level. The other issue is that you can clip walls if you physically move your headset in your place space beyond a wall in the game or if you rotate the character where it would put the character past the wall in the game. While it's fun to play around when that happens, it's sometimes difficult to clip back through the wall to get back into the level so you don't have to restart.
Video Overview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxAaitGUR6Q Bad Dreams VR is a really cool gem of a VR horror title. Is this the perfect VR game? No, of course. But If we're judging it based on the general scope of what they've accomplished here, it's easy to ignore the lack of polish and truly appreciate a game that's a scary thrill ride at its core with some really interesting VR interactivity and utilization of the platform. Plus it's only like $15. It's not like they're charging AAA prices here. If you want a fun scare with decent art direction and a great atmosphere? I think it's a buy.
