About
Backrooms: Into the Hole is an indie horror experience inspired by Backrooms lore — but this is not just another level.
This is a parallel liminal space, where reality feels off, paths don’t make sense, and the only way forward… is down.
You navigate eerie, non-linear environments by jumping into holes, each one leading to unpredictable places. Some paths bring you closer to escape. Others take you deeper into something you don’t understand.
Play solo or with friends in co-op, explore together, split up, or take risks as a team. Every decision changes your route.
But you are not alone.
Entities inhabit this space — watching, moving, hunting. One wrong move is enough.
Indie horror set in a liminal, Backrooms-inspired space
Core mechanic: progress by jumping into holes
Co-op multiplayer — survive and explore with friends
Multiple paths and alternative routes
Unpredictable, unsettling environments
There is no clear direction.
No guaranteed exit.
Just one question:
Do you jump?

It's better to be bad than boring and this game is boring as all hell. Nothing worth seeing. Not even worth the hard drive space.
How good is your mapping skill? Because mine is terrible
An interesting and fairly simple atmospheric horror game that feels like I should have a paper and pen to remember the paths I took... tho it's not like you are able to go back in most of them. The gameplay itself is fairly simple, just walk and walk and walk and try to find an exit to the loop/rooms. It provides random items to help you depending on the things you do around. It also has some monster/entities that may or may not be after your skin. The sounds could use some work. Some of them were too loud when compared to everything else. At times, it could also be unnerving since there are spots rather silent or there are sudden noises. Not only that but the grainy filter outside that seems like fog makes it hard to look around. Then u got the rooms that look the same but aren't... It is alright for playing short sessions at a time (I don't handle horror well).
