This game intends to create a simple gameplay and story-heavy experience. Players will help a teenage boy go through a tough time in his life. A story that shows how friendship works when we need it the most.
"AZ: Oath of Brotherhood Prologue 1" is not a game. It's not even an advertisement/demo for a game. It's an advertisement/demo (one of three advertisements, apparently) for a non-game e-book/interactive novel. There are some very lightweight, very bad "game" elements that add nothing of merit as games and do nothing to add value to this advertisement for an e-book. It's a common mistake for developers unfamiliar with Steam to launch demos/advertisements as full games on Steam instead of tagging them correctly as demos. Here's the instructions for developers on how to put a demo up on Steam, because the developers obviously didn't read it: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos If this was an advertisement for a game, which it isn't, the game it's advertising for would be terrible. Instead, of course, this is an advertisement for a non-game, which in turn would be terrible. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the non-game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this hypothetical non-game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC. As far as e-books go, this is terrible, as to be expected. The thing about visual novels is that they're basically books, or at best, comic books, when they feature enough artwork. But books with a difference, instead of just reading the thing and flipping pages from time to time, you have to click the mouse button constantly every single sentence. Imagine you're reading a book, and every time you hit the end of a sentence you have to click on something before you can proceed to the next sentence. Maddening idea, isn't it? You wouldn't accept it. So why would people accept that from a book pretending (and failing) to be a video game? Like most visual novels, the writing here is bad. Let's face it, if they were good enough writers, they wouldn't have had to go to Steam to try self-publish their work, they'd have this as a book in bookstores everywhere. There's nothing here for gamers, this advertisement is just polluting the Steam store.

Really interested where the story goes next! I like that there is an interactive mini game inbetween parts of the story and most of the game is grammatically correct or at least to the point where everything is understandable overall a pretty neat start to a game would love to see more types of mini games and the ending was a great set up to part 2!
