I beat the tutorial just now... oh I'm in for a time, aren't I? Just buy this, I can tell this is something special. Avoiding spoilers, the animation and art style is REALLY SLICK! I'm impressed by that alone.
Excellent little game, especially the characters! How does this not have more reviews?
A pretty cool RPG Maker game. I love the art and characters in this game, as well as the combat system. Each character has their own unique combat style: Lotl is a support who heals and buffs your team; Brando focuses on crits and deals high damage; Sir Crusty is the tank who can aggro enemies; and Dip and Dots are party members that can apply status effects like poison and sleep, while also dealing a lot of damage. Overall, this game was quite good. It had a nice art style, good music, fun combat, and was quite challenging especially during the last half of the game.
Short and sweet game with charm. Handdrawn art adds ALOT to this.
I had enough fun playing the "tutorial" that I had to play longer so that I could actually leave a review. The art and characters work well together to show off their personality, and the plot kicks off with a very engaging start. I really look forward to seeing where the story goes from here, and seeing what interesting teammates and team techs that I'll discover along the way. The music in the first post-tutorial area really suits being on the beach at the start of an adventure, and all of the battles have been fun between the animations and balancing the use of skills and when best to guard for recovery. I'm getting Omori or In Stars and Times vibes in the combat due to how animated the character profiles are, and that's great! While this can be played with a controller, clicking on the area you want to move to with the mouse is much faster. It's doable either way, but if you have a mouse there's no reason not to when moving around the maps.
Should have at least 50 reviews.
My new favorite game!
Fun little game that you can get for cheap. Worth a couple of hours of play. The combat is pretty simple yet still fun and I enjoyed the characters and artwork. Just understand your getting a small JRPG that will give you five to six hours and you'll be happy.
Great experience from start to finish. It's a very clever game that does just the right amount of everything. Absolutely love the characters and the combat is good as well. It's about as enjoyable as a short RPG can be. I legitimately can't think of much wrong with it that aren't nitpicks which is quite rare for me. It won't blow your mind at any one thing, but as an overall package it's for sure up there with the best
Very cute game, if unpolished, with sweet hand-drawn art. The characters are super charming (I love Lotl he's so precious <3) and it's a fun little RPG... but I keep getting lost :'( I still recommend it for those who are more directionally-inclined than I. I'll give it a try at some point in the future, because I really want to continue the story.
