Awake

Great free game, but not without its flaws. ➕ The art style is great and cutscenes are fully animated. ➕ Puzzles aren't very difficult, and mechanics are minimal yet effective. ➖ There is some semblance of a story, but it isn't closely relevant with the gameplay and is mostly confusing fillers. ➖ Controls feel like they were built for a different genre, such as a walking sim or 3D platformer, instead of a generic tile-based puzzle game. Puzzle elements rely solely on collision to function, making them slow to interact with and buggy at times. The game is still in EA, but the story and gameplay seem complete. The only "coming soon" was a "stickers" feature, which I assume is what the unexplained collectibles in levels would have been. Oh, and: ➕ Your dream buddy is a rabbit.
